I'm basically 'saving them from the landfill' as my 'rental fleet' all runs Windows XP. Most people don't use that N E more, but I think it's GR8 =) When stuff is 'pre-configured' all they notice is everything 'just works'.

The slightly higher prices for 'individual parts' R just there 2 help people when they only have 1 of the 'orphan' things available 4 $ale 2 ship. As bits go I really just buy cards & mic preamp boxes, or complete systems. The LX6 don't have mic pres in them tho so would just swap with mic box =D It's all 'cute' stuff tho & I'm happy 2 buy it ~ just not worth very much, & part of the fun is using 'obsolete junk' 2 build useful stuff = like a 'challenge game'...

These R considered obsolete devices so R not worth much for re$ale. For example, I bet U R not using it in part because U no longer run Windows XP? I ONLY use XP. Yes every year or so I try out some other offerings, & they R still not as good. Nothing is perfect =)

You are using it for the Aardvark and I need it to run my bla-1000 accounting software and keep it alive. Right now it is running on iMacs with Parallels in the virtual window. Since Access Runtime 2002 is so out of date and support, it will not run in Windows 10. I am a Mac fan by the way. I did a search on the Aardvark Q10 and they are PINK!!! You do rentals on computers and this software are you also in the sound business?

N E waze, U can get loads of GR8 'old trash' PCs FREE off the street or other places, like 'recyclers'. I'd say I'm an 'UP'-cycler. The Aardvark sound GR8 but the compatibility with modern OSes is the drawback, but not 4 me 'kuz I'm all about XP! =D So my advice is git ya'self some 'old wreck' machines 2 do the deed. It's not like they will magically stop working just because some group says it's 'unsupported'. Like: "Oh my 100 year old coffee table is 'past warranty'... OK so wat? Does it go 'POOF!' & vanish into another dimension? LOL
BTW: If U no N E 1 into getting 'more 4 le$$' as PCs go maybe send 'em my way =D 4 instance, they say XP will 'finally' B 'dropped' from $upport on April of this year, which is kind of silly as all the other times they said they would end support they didn't. Since about 30% of the machines out there R still running XP with corporate & whatever my guess is it will B supported way longer. & like I said being 'unsupported' doesn't mean it won't run, or will stop 4 some reason. The OS itself is not a '$ubscription' type thing like Micro$oft is trying 2 move other things 2. There's no 'kill switch' that seeks out a date & 'expires' it like lots of other 'crippleware' does. I prefer the streamlined one available here:
