Safe Zone for Palestinians and people fearing Zionist procecution

* I wanted to share that since our two online calls, I’ve been communicating a bit with 10 Palestinians who I’ve gotten to know through the Permaculture Teacher Trainings with Focus on Refugees. There is an encrypted chat group to talk about how there is a clear recognition and desire by people in this “Permaculture & Palestine" initiative for Palestinians to give direction and guidance on what they want the permaculture movement to do to act in solidarity, and that their voices are front and centre. But of course, there is the reality that it is either potentially dangerous or clearly dangerous for them and their families to be associated as organising publicly against the genocide. So one potential way forward is that they can discuss together among themselves how they would like this initiative to evolve, and communicate with us here. This is just a suggestion for moving forward.

* I want to also share that after the second online call, after one of the Palestinians expressed that they didn’t feel comfortable being on a call with Israelis, I’ve also been reaching out to the Palestinians on how to create a safe space for working together, and also reaching out to anti-Zionist Israelis about how they can support this initiative, and what their needs are. There has been some positive thinking and sharing, I am going to edit some of the messages, check that it’s ok to share them (anonymously), and then share them here.
