Garden
The garden runs behind the own houses and behind the house(s) of the neighbours.
It has a back entrance that is only accessible via the neighbours.
Each house has access to the garden: the left house (34) via the ground floor and the right house (32) via both the ground floor and the kitchen.
Water access
The garden has at least 2 places with access to groundwater.
Outhouses and structures
Outhouses:
Behind 34 there is a chicken coop a half open storage room and a room where meat used to be smoked.
In front of 32 there is a bread oven construction. It seems fully restored though as it takes partially the view on the garden and has no use in this time and age of bread machines it might overtime be removed.
Underneath the terrace, connected to the kitchen at 32, there is another room where meat was smoked.
Structures:
In front of the chicken coop is a fenced area where maybe in the past a sheep was herded.
Central in the garden is an old construction previously used with animal power to pump up water into the adjacent granite basin. Nowadays an electric pump is used to this end. The power cable goes from the terrasse to a covered construction containing the pump.
Aligned on the sides of the garden or on the edge of defined areas are concrete "concentration camp styled" poles. They are needed to support the vines.
Plants and soil:
At first sight the soil quality is not too great: crumbled rock where exposed.
Orange trees can be found in a large part of the garden. There is one very well producing lemon tree.
The main olive tree (only a few) is due to years of neglect after pruning largely hollowed out.
Behind house 34 there is an old pomegranate tree. In front of the chicken coop there are very healthy fig trees.
On the side of the terrass, behind the neighbour's house, grows a massive laurel tree.
Broad beans and what appears to be wild strawberry plants were seen.
The previous owner grew mainly cabbages on two patches in the garden on the side of the trees.
Brambles are rare as kept down with a fire lance to avoid they take over. Evenso with stingy nettles and spiky thistles. On a number of places bewildered vines cling on to rusty guidance wires, walls or concrete poles.
Most plants still need to be determined.
