Core Interests, Initiatives & Aims

The house wants to serve its guests by providing an harmonious as possible environment.

Next to that these are the core interests in support of which the infrastructure wishes to operate:

* Core interests

* Midwifery

* Permaculture

* Spiritual Growth

We hope to explore an holistic dynamic between the subjects of the Core Interests.
E.g. Relationships, pregnancy & birth: opportunities for spiritual growth, yoga, relaxation in the garden, growing, harvesting & processing medicinal herbs.

* Initiatives

This will entail developments that might in its implementation overlap the Core Interests:

Midwifery - Permaculture - Spiritual Development

Hosting events, supported or self-organised, and providing accomodation is a possibility the house offers.

Examples:

* Permanent activity

Growing herbs used in midwifery and using the library and meeting room to learn how to process and when occasionally administer these medicinal preparations.

* Occasional activity

Hosting a herbalist and her apprentice for a course on herbalism. Networking activities in the margin.

Video screening on wide screen of "Juliette of the herbs". Announcement of the bursary assisting apprentice midwives to visit colleagues in the USA.

* Aims

The creation of a meeting space (aka "salon") with an adjacent library. A place where the development of thought is encouraged while offering the opportunity to participate in gardening or activities of a practical, educational or spiritual nature.

The intention is to honour all who have brought us where we are and to leave a legacy by bringing this project forward.

While some services might demand their own dedicated space other rooms might serve as multi-purpose spaces where one can gather, socialise, where a library with paper books is available, ....
