Visiting or staying over at Dawn House
While anyone is welcome to visit, make proposals for events and maybe even stay over this offer has been written up to find applicants that match most close the core interests of the project: Midwifery, Permaculture and Spiritual Development.
While builders, permaculture designers, poets and authors surely are welcome to apply.
In particular we like to attract someone with a background as birth attendant.
If that person happens to be a builder, writes poems or books and is well trained in permaculture, meditation or arts then that a plus.
If you need a break from the world and feel you will not be able to engage then that is fine too.
Dawn House can be a temporary refuge for you. As always: arrangements have to be made.
The ideal candidate is someone who embraces the house's environment, offers valuable insights, and contributes to the project's goal of improving the world through meaningful debates, broadening perspectives, and fostering personal growth. This person will uplift everyone and drive the project forward.
What is offered?
* Room and Board [restaurant bills not included; we can take a picnic] (*)
* Local and not so local transport (*)
* Attempts to meet (partially pre arranged) colleagues (#)
* The opportunity to learn about midwifery in Portugal
* The opportunity to exchange ideas on all aspects of midwifery
* The possibility to organise a (partially pre planned) video screening for a limited informal audience
* A possibility to become part of the core of this project after the stay

What is requested?
* An active and proven interest in midwifery
* Regular outreach to the wider audience and colleagues in which the stay is mentioned (Instagram. FB, ...)
* A comprehensive critical report on every aspect of the working of Dawn House after the stay has finished
* Willingness to consider further engagement around the mission of the house
* You have to have the legal right to reside in Portugal and the EU
Details
* Capacity: you will be a guest addressed by your desired professional title
* Open ended: for as long as the budget allows and the agreement is amicably extended or altered
* Dawn House is an alcohol and drugs free zone. Smoking only on designated places outside.
Formality
* State how long you initially plan or would like to stay as well as any wishes or questions you may have
* Send your application detailing your motivation and addressing above mentioned requirements as a Word or PDF document
