Roll All That Ambition Into A Single Magnificently Sleek, Perky A$$!

Taking 'Window Sex Pee' (Windows XP) from a random pile of azz 2 a solid, hot 1!  & yea' the name = pretty obvious that's their big inside joke U thenk? LOL  SMILE wen U say it! HAHA  Did U no XP runs almost all the ATM machines on Earth?  So much 4 'insecure'.  Insecure my AZZ!!  =))  They never stopped supporting it, because REAL business DEMANDS it 4 doing actual work, not just goofin' around ~ from real estate offices & banks & ships & power plants & all the rest!  Stat sites say that about 30% of businesses world wide still use XP!  I bet a lot of them even try 2 switch but like me they run into the obvious, verifiable fact that the so-called 'UPgrades' R actually much WORSE!  LOL!!  For instance, super-loading the OS with extra stuff 2 WA$TE RAM & CPU 2 keep hardware vendor$ happy that people 'perceive' that they need new fancier equipment 2 get the same performance they had with 'old junk'.  What a $CAM!  Lot of people are so caught up in being 'trendy', or 'fear' (based on propaganda that 'old' things are 'unreliable' or something) that they simply don't care & put up with the many more numerous defects of so-called 'modern' systems.  Really people should spend their time raising beauties instead of just dumping more mud goblins.  Tha choize iz yorz!  B Wize  =D

The goal with every function on a PC should be intuitive efficiency & speed & stability & reliability, combined with quality performance, etc.  'Eye Candy' for a TOOL is counterproductive.  The interface should instead focus on being B quick & E Z 2 use.  When we want something pretty, we can gaze on pretty wallpaper & cheesecake & music videos & stuff, meanwhile the functions of the windows R flexibly clear & E Z 2 read in their 'deep stony gray/greens' or whatever floats yor boat, or no border @ all (such as the video playing in 'floating' mode on the right via 'MPC-HC') ...

Y'all 'Auto-Hide' the task bar right?  Who wants 2 stare @ that all the time? LOL!!  Pops down from the TOP of the screen there when mouse up (or hit 'Window' key).  OSes should B about HELPING the customer experience.  It's true many 'bugs' are purposely placed in various parts of OSes 2 try & keep people 'eternally upgrading' = always looking for 'the next newest fix' (with a whole new set of problems? LOL) & 'new OS version', but there are other ways to make money from customers.  $ell them something they can really USE, rather than WA$TING their time chasing down 'bugs'.  Help them get stuff done!  =D  You can $ell them GENUINE upgrades to their EXISTING OS that they ALREADY want & like & use, like XP!  =)  It still runs about 30% of the world's machines (mostly for business stuff).  The market is there & even '3'rd party' stuff could really Ca$h in on this!  =D

Enhancing XP Like This Could Also Make U Programmer Doodz Lots Of $$$!!  =8^D  'Netmarketshare' is a web site that tracks what sort of OS web browsers are reporting when people go to various sites ~ MILLIONS of them, and from this they get a statistical picture of how many people use each type of operating system. For example, ALL versions of mac (combined) = 10.11%, & ALL versions of Linux = 1.47%. Windows XP is about DOUBLE that = around 2.29%. Google says there are over 1.5 billion PCs in use in the world, so multiply that by 2.29% & that's about 34,350,000 = over 34 million users of XP (at LEAST =)  Also keep in mind a lot of times XP machines are not even used online, such as retail shops, factory automation, etc., so the number could be much higher.  For instance this number doesn't account for the fact most ATM machines world wide run on XP, because they are not being used to 'browse the web' loading pages (& reporting the OS 2 these analysis sites).

Would all the web browsing XP-using folks (among others) like 2 have fab upgrades like this so they can actually ENHANCE (rather than remove and change) their OS? ABSOLUTELY!  =D  & if U could (easily I think) appeal to 1 of every 100 XP users to buy the upgrade for $10 (a very low & fair price) that's 1% of that big millions # = 343,500 buyers, X $10 = $3,435,000 = not bad!  =D  & I really do think that 1% number is being very 'sure thing' about it.  I bet potential $ales R probably MUCH higher than that!  =:-o  Key is in spreading the word! Plaster it all around so comes up in Google??  Great headlines 2 use could include: "2020 Brand New Windows XP Extended Life Updates Dramatically Increase Performance" or something like that.  Onward 2 tha' Top 10 GR8 Thengz 2 Tweek, or as the slogan could go: "10 Performance Leading XP Enhancements For $10!"  In fact, if the product takes off it could really increase the popularity of the OS as well, 'resurrecting' it to many 'modernist' applications, hence the name 'Windows Classic', much like 'Media Player Classic' is a 'resurrection' of the 'very old' version of Windows Media Player, but with deeper functionality & enhancements = all of the good, plus some more good, and none of the 'bad' found in bloated buggy alternatives.  That was my idea with it long ago and it has become quite a popular program.  The same could be true for 'Windows Classic'?  =)

  1. Make it auto-detect hardware instead of lock it to motherboard chip set & limited hardware switching.  Under Windows '98 & the like it was very easy to switch & change computers by simply moving a drive from one machine to another, and it would simply re-detect everything.  Under XP on up, they changed this to 'blue screen of death', which is totally unnecessary & makes it difficult to change machines, and actually makes XP & everything that came after harder to sell, not easier.  People like FLEXIBILITY!  =)
  2. Add 'APO' (Audio Processor Object) support, like Vista on forward.  This enables simple ways to add EQ & other 'plugins' 2 the audio section for helpful things like speaker & headphone tweaking so everything can sound the best, not just played through certain programs that support their own EQ & other plugins.
  3. Add 'Vertical Sync' option to desktop, like other recent OSes do, to help avoid 'screen tearing', which can be a big problem with HD sites like Netflix, though they never note that this simple reason is the cause).  & no, simply enabling 'vertical sync' on a video card doesn't really work, because the 'desktop' itself within Windows XP is not 'drawn' in a sync sort of way. I'm not a programming expert but yeah I verified this = just ends up always tearing in the middle (or wherever) instead of randomly tearing some other place, because it 'can't sync.  This could B fixes by using some later OS feature ported to XP = simple!  More details about what 'Screan Tearing' does here ~> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing  It's really not that bad.  U only really notice in some types of high motion scenes in HD movies really.  Programs that use 'Direct Show' don't tear because they are bypassing the OS & talking directly to the hardware.  Free examples include programs like VLC media player, or MPC-HC, which is based on some of my ideas ~>  https://justpaste.it/7i54j
  4. Do not scan every drive tree / content structure while booting, or when 'displaying' visible file structures.  Makes it take a long time when running many terabytes of storage.  Only call on drive folder & file details as needed, only to display enough to fill the current view in 'Explorer'.  For instance a folder containing thousands of files should only bother to look at enough to fill the view window, not scan everything before showing anything.  The same goes for the 'save as' dialog boxes.  It's silly to wait a long time just to get the window to display because there are thousands of items.  This of course applies 2 'network shares' & stuff 2.  Don't ever bother 2 'organize' stuff that's not even getting displayed displayed 2 the user.  When browsing a bunch of files, load the list as needed, as they scroll down, bit by bit. Don't 'index' all at once beforehand.  Also, after creating whatever 'trees' this way (as needed) don't just ditch them when moving to another location.  Keep the results in a cache somewhere obvious, and let the user decide how big that cache can get (like we can already do with swap files & other system settings).  In other words, create a picture of the trees as you go, as the user requests, and save what you can, but don't try to map it all up front for 'no reason'.  That just wastes time.
  5. When deleting files, do not spin up any other drive besides the one where the file to be deleted is located.  With arrays of many drives it can be a bit of a shock & annoyance to wait, + needlessly adds wear to drives.  Also would be GR8 2 have an option to ASK the user if they want to spin up a drive when such tasks are requested, even on the same drive, such as 'This drive has spun down.  Would you like to spin up this drive to delete this file?', etc.  Spinning up like 6 drives just to delete some random photo on the booter is absurd.  As for the 'trash can contents' needing to be 'updated' maybe across all the drives, that should be changed so it is localized to a central spot indexing which drives had whatever in their trash cans, again only when user requests this information.  No need to spend a bunch of time scanning every trash can on every drive on boot, delete, etc.
  6. Build in the 'gobs of RAM' option, instead of having to hack the OS to allow more than 4GB (under XP).
  7. Add support for 'network load-sharing' the CPU tasks across multiple machines, like sending processing tasks to other XP machines to come back to the main one, or even to other types of OSes, like sending tasks to CPUs on a Windows 7 machine, to make their way back to the XP machine ~ for instance when running FFDShow filters to improve the look of movies, maybe even send the tasks across a home network of a few random Windows devices?  =)  There are programs that do a similar thing for audio processing where a certain software runs on each machine that will share the load, and they communicate to each other through that.  With movies for instance, the playback could be delayed a little bit so tasks have time to come back to the main (display) system.
  8. Add support for more than 2 physical CPUs (either with or without the 'load sharing across multiple machines' concept.  Adding more CPU support per machine is always a +!  =)
  9. Add support for more recent forms of Direct X, as well as 'emulating' newer versions of windows in terms of simply allowing more recent 'locked' type programs to run.  Many of them have no particular 'need' to have 7 or 10 or whatever, but just 'expect' it.  Ideally there could be a place to store the more recent versions of Windows files so they are available when one of those oddball programs asks for such a strange DLL or something, leaving the OS free to be something more flexible & useful overal, such as XP  =)  "WINE" does something similar for Linux variants = emulating Windows by creating a place to store the stuff those programs need to see.  Instead of trying to write 'emulations' simply provide a place where people can dump the contents of a Windows 7/10 whatever install CD so the stuff is all there to use.  XP emulates 'DOS' variants using an 'emulator', so this would be a kind of 'forward' emulator, rather than 'retro' one, & can be achieved through a wide variety of techniques =)
  10. Make XP able 2 boot & run from USB stick or other 'portable' device in a fast 'native' way, which relates to 'Tweak #1' about 'free it from specific harware locking' =)  Yes there are 'portable Xp' type things out there, but they are slow &  feature-limited 'emulated' sorts of things.  I'm talking about a simple way 2 simply 'back up' the hard drive boot partition (in FAT32 if desired of course, because NTFS & exFAT R KRAAAP! =)) so U could then take that stick or whatever & put it on another random PC someplace & it could automatically detect the hardware & configure itself (just as Windows '98 can) & get running fast & smooth.  It would greatly streamline 'trials & migration' so people could switch gear around much easier.  It's more complicated of course to wipe a drive &/or install 1 then have 2 install the OS from scratch & all that jazz just 2 C if U like a particular machine U got free off the street, or whatever LOL  Using a stick is the way 2 go!
  11. Bot WATE!  Therz MOR!  =))  'SPECIAL BONUS OPTION'?!  =D  Add support for more recent versions of '.NET' framework, so some of the more 'greedy' modern apps that require it can run under XP!  =)  Basically, ANYTHING that helps INCREASE the flexibility of XP so it can run things that currently only run on something else is great to add to XP to further enhance it.  The OS should, ideally, be a quick & flexible COMPATIBILITY tool that makes 'Anything' run smooth & fast.  People have plenty of space, & more drive storage is very cheap, so it's perfectly fine if the solution is something like simply dumping every file from every other OS from which compatibility DLLs & such may be desired.  They could be shared (if there are multiple 'boot' partitions) in a central location for all boot drives/partitions, to help reduce wasted space.  For instance, I run a lot of 'Portable' apps, & place them on a 'Z' partition and all the different booters point to the programs there instead of storing them on each booter separately. This also helps keep everything current across multiple booters, because for instance the favorites & add ons for Firefox (or whatever program) are the same when booting from another drive, because they all point to the same thing on the same 'programs' drive.  Where something is important to have a copy for backup, simply back that up separately, like a 'Zip' file of the program U want 2 keep safe as a 'snapshot' = E Z!  =D

  • Special Wish ~ Driver Upgrade: User 'Drawable' Custom Independent RGB Gamma Curve Capability For Intel 'Extreme Graphics' (extremely mediocre? LOL) Video Chip Set Drivers  =B^)  It's a very 'popular' line in many motherboards, & 4 now only does basic 'single shape' type deal, which is fine 4 raising shadow detail, but tends 2 wash out mids & blow out highs.  'S-shaped' gamma curves work best for an realistic and 'HDR' feel.  Examples here: https://justpaste.it/46jvs  & yes nVidia offers something similar, but it's quite buggy, especially when doing something as simple as changing video resizing on the fly through 'FFDShow'.  ATI tends 2 crash it 2!  The Intel stuff is very SLOOOW 4 'fancy gaming' but it is super-STABLE, which is GR8.  Also saves $ having 2 get an 'after-market' card.  The Intel 'garbage' can play 4K videos so unless U R into 'Extreme Gaming' it's speedy enough,  & dirt cheap (built into many motherboards & PCs 4 'free').

  • Super-Special wish ~ Driver Upgrades: Make driver mod / 'patch' for 'Realtek' & 'Creative' sound chips so they will auto-switch to lock to native sample rate of source files when played, etc., instead of forcing everything 2 B resampled to 48Khz, which causes 'aliasing' distortion & a jagged, harsh, annoying texture to the sound from things recorded at any sample rate that doesn't divide evenly with that, such as very common 44.1Khz 'CD' music album recordings.  Almost every motherboard in existence now use Realtek, which is a terrible shame, because they all RUIN the sound with that, making such systems a very bad value.  Why spend $100 (or whatever) on a fancy new motherboard when you can find a nice Analog Devices based PC on the street for FREE?!  This 'forced resampling issue' is easy to fix, but they simply do not care, so we should do it, 'for the people', & customers would surely be happy to pay a bit for this yes?  $5 (per system) seems fair 2 me.  The software could 'call home' to only install once on a given piece of hardware.  Then people could back up their install or whatever if they are worried.  It's funny how 'Apple' brand products are seen as 'media friendly' yet most of them use Realtek too = the irony!  =))  I've heard many systems & the best chips I've heard so far are the Analog Devices AD1981B & AD1984.  They also make 'surround' chips but they are fake = don't assign channels right & sound a bit harsh by comparison, but still much better than anything by Realtek or Creative, etc.

These other things can already be done without having to get into 'coding' things, and VASTLY improve the 'Windows XP-erience ~;^D  These things below are fairly easily 'user-tweakable' already so no big deal if they can't B rolled into the '10 enhancements' thing for 'Windows Classic'  =)  People could read the tweaks in the help file &/or 'readme' document distributed with it, & online on sites like this of course ...

  1. Format drive using 'FAT32Format' utility to create (first) a 64 megabyte 'spacer' partition 2 get disk 'aligned' with 'advanced format' so don't end up with clusters overwriting each other when modified.  Then make FAT32 boot partition = faster, & more stable, reliable & secure than NTFS, etc.  Also WHEN you get errors (like bad shutdown) fixes them about 20X faster (literaly).  NTFS has a ton of different extra 'flags' & other garbage slowing stuff down.  Will add notes here on 'break points' for cluster sizes to avoid 'slack waste'.  For instance, 32 gig partitions do fine with 4KB cluster FAT32, but can't do that on 1.5TB, etc., because ends up with 2 many 'table entries' & 'tops out'.  The exact break points R not well documented, & the official information is often wrong anyway LOL  4KB works fine on 500 gigs.
  2. Install 'QTTabBar' for Windows Explorer
  3. Install 'Quero Toolbar' for Internet Explorer
  4. Disable animation & 'jellybean' gradient bull$hit & other needless, cumbersome CPU hogging things  =P
  5. Install FFDShow, AC3Filter, & MPC-HC
  6. YOW this is gonna' B a long list... stay toond!  =D
