The view is clear & clean but unlike a good plasma or CRT screen these 'Retro Trash Tweaking Project' LCDs have horrifically messed up gamma response, though doesn't every LCD monitor ever? LOL! Unmodified they have a cartoonish over-saturated overly contrasty look.  It's strange nobody seems to address this at a hardware level from the factory.  We all know what reality looks like =)  Would be great to have a 'plug-in' software to tweak it reliably on any XP PC. There are ways to partially fix it with Intel 'Onboard' graphics drivers or 'After-Market' cards like ATI, But nVidia so far are the most flexible.  Here with even a 'MidLine' HP 2009m, movies & such played up close have all the lively 'You-Are-There-Ness' 1 could want from a 'Home Theater' system.  Using 'Viewing Angle' (close distance) has the same effect as a larger monitor further away, & saves space, cost, & watts, but of course for a social setting it's good to have something larger & further away so everybody can 'Share The Experience' =B^D  ~> https://www.google.com/search?q=view+angle+calculator+home+theater  Short Link ~> https://tinyurl.com/y3sq887l

Another issue is the stands are very short & the bases are very narrow so quite unstable.  Would be better to have something wide and easily adjustable in many ways like the Dell 1708FP do, but their pictures are nowhere near as nice ~> https://www.google.com/search?q=dell+1708FP  What types of 'Cheap Old Junk' monitors out there have similar stable & flexible tall basses along those lines combined with clear 'glossy' screens and bright vibrant sharply clear & realistic colors like these HPs can do?

Would Be Nice If The Bases Were Wider
With Large Screens It Would Help Stability =)
