AI Disruptors

AI has been in development since the '50's

In the 1960's,

Weisenbaum wrote Eliza

in Madslips,

a list processing language.

It uses scripts to respond to text entries

like Adventure does.

It was all text.

The PowerPC Mac used IBM's

PowerPC chip.

We sold them at Computer City...

It could run the Mac OS,

or run the IBM PC-Dos environment.

Fast.

At the time, I had an Amstrad PC 640

that ran on two 720k floppies.

It took about 20 seconds to compile

on my Amstrad,

The PowerPC ran my TurboPascal

Compiler in 4 Seconds ...

The PowerPC RISC Chip was used

to build SuperComputers...

In 2005, Apple switched from the

IBM PowerPC processor, to Intel.

Warning:

Kids don't even READ anymore.

This is out of hand ...

1000064675.png

Some Apps control drones...

AI searches consume a KiloWatt hour

every 3 searches...

1000064680.gif

The kids do billions of searches...

If trends continue,

by 2030, AI in the US

will consume as much

power as 100 million homes...

Australia is banning Social Media use

for children under 16, effective next year.

We should ban kids use of AI, too.

After all, they're supposed to be learning.

I wrote a program like this 30 years ago:

I just re-wrote it from memory,

 a couple days part-time work.
