Federal Agents Arrive In Seattle Ahead Of Weekend Protests

Federal officers have been stationed in Portland throughout much of July, clashing nightly with demonstrators, while deploying tear gas and other devices, particularly in areas around the city's federal courthouse. In at least one instance, people were picked from the street by unidentified agents and put into an unmarked van. Read more here

We only hope that the arrival of federal agents in Seattle is not another way of the Trump’s administration to intimidate protesters. We have seen how, in the past months, federal officers have clashed with demonstrators, how they deployed tear gas, and arrested individuals amidst their protests. People of Seattle do not want the same incidents to Portland to happen in their city. People are crying to stay vigilant and asking that they be allowed to exercise their freedom without unconstitutional intervention of the state. We also hope that citizens show their dismay in the most peaceful manner so that these federal agents will not take any action against the people.
