Standoff ends peacefully after 2 possibly taken hostage: HPD

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A standoff ended peacefully after a wanted person barricaded himself inside a business along Westheimer Road, where he may have taken two people hostage, Houston police said. The police department tweeted its SWAT officers and hostage negotiation team were called to the 9000 block of Westheimer, near Fondren, Thursday afternoon. Read more here

I read from Abc 13 that the standoff peacefully ended after a wanted person barricaded himself inside the business at 9041 Westheimer Road, where he took two people as his hostage. After the negotiation, the police department tweeted that the suspect finally surrendered to the SWAT Officers. No incident occurred, and the two women hostages were safely released. I am glad that the suspect negotiated with the officers because, if not, it may cause his death. I commend the police officers for doing a great job. I am glad that Abc 13 wrote about this article, so I become updated on the latest happenings. I was supposed to go to the business place when I watch the video.
