2020 Primary: Charlotte Early Voting Ends Saturday

CHARLOTTE, NC —North Carolina's Super Tuesday presidential primary election is next week, which means early voting underway in Charlotte and throughout Mecklenburg County will wrap up this weekend. The presidential primary election will be held on Tuesday, March 3, and now is a good time for voters to prepare by checking deadlines, voter registration status and other information. With the upcoming presidential primary election which will be held on Tuesday, March 3, North Carolina residents will benefit from the one-stop early voting that is underway in Mecklenburg County. Scheduled from Thursday, Feb. 13 through Saturday, Feb. 29, early voting begins at a limited number of polling sites around the county. All the assigned voting sites are open during the same hours on early voting days. Absentee voting by mail is scheduled for January 13 through March 3, 2020. North Carolina voters will not be required to show photo identification in the March 3 election to prevent discrimination against the state's African American voters.
