PCW Phase Twenty-Two: Are You Living In The Real World?

The Korakuen Hall in Toyko was stacked nearly full of people. It wasn't as loud there as it was usually back in Chicago, but still, all the fans seemed to be invested and excited. As soon as the theme song, The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy began, the crowd began clapping in time with it.

Red lights flared up on the stage, then tracked to the ring followed by orange and then yellow. As the yellow began to recede from the stage, the ring announcer Griffin West slid into view in a royal blue suit, customized golden mic in hand. He ran up the ramp bathed in the bright lights and jumped up on the ring sliding under the bottom rope.

He popped up in the center of the ring, gesturing out with one hand. He held up the mic with his now signature grin.

Hello There, Tokyoooo! We're back for Phase Twenty Two: Are You Living In The Real World? Now, I know you all saw Sweeneymania and Wrestlefest IV so I know you must all be wondering what we can bring to you next. Well, all I have t'say to that is I hope you're ready, people! Everyone here is Hungry for a win. Only two wrestlers tonight have a point to there name so everyone is ready to Fight to make it back toward the top. The first match we're bringing to you is between two competitors who have never faced in the wrong and have a lot to prove, So let's get this thing started!

Griffin tucked the mic in his breast pocket, clapped his hands together once and slid back out of the ring, walking over to commentary, taking his headset again with a cocky grin toward Mike as he settled in his seat.

Jamie Frost vs Jenny Blake

VTZ's Cold as Ice started playing and the slow notes guided the smirking Jamie Frost down the ramp. She nonchalantly touched hands with a few people, but for the most part, focused on getting to the ring and making a show of it, keeping cool as she stepped between the ropes.

"Call Me Maybe" started playing and the crowd started singing along. Jenny came out just as the song hit the chorus. She smiled, danced, waved her arms, twisted and blew kisses to the audience all the way down the ramp. As she got off of it, she went around giving a high five to everybody in the front row. She then cartwheeled over to the ring, hopping up on the apron and doing a backflip to get in. Before dropping into the ring, she climbed the nearest ring post and blew more kisses, holding one hand back while the other is thrust forward, both making peace signs.

For their meeting, both competitors assessed one another, circling in the middle of the ring before locking up. It seemed a fairly even match at the start, but soon, Blake's lucha background started to shine and the top turnbuckle became her platform. She landed several moves on Jamie, while the former manager caught her another handful of times, using her strength against the Canadian's speed.

Finally, it was a Dynamite Destroyer that gave Jenny the victory, and her first point for contention.

Austin Theory vs Gemini

Bursting just on through to an opening that saw many of that amount of the fans; only a few more steps positioned him just inches away from an audience member in the crowd with their hand open and out as it looked Austin would meet him there. However at the last second, he brought out such a smug grin over his facial expression that had showcased this shocked emotion— all of this was a rue, he was playing the fans with a reaction of his pearly whites to be very noticeable while those few footsteps were taken with his hands out toward each side of him with such confidence. Finally placing himself inside of the apron before he easily followed through to stand in the middle of the ring. Allowing all of the boos to follow inside as he thought to allow the fans to bask in his glory.

"World is mine" played, and as the cutesy Japanese lyrics filled the air, the audience started to get a little carried away, much to their distaste, because as the rift played on, the tiny Gemini stepped out to the ramp, doing a short spin before walking down the ramp, blowing kisses but ignoring the few outstretched hands. She was helped up to the ring by a member of the ring crew, who set her gently on the apron so she could slide right in from under the bottom rope.

This time, Gemini's approach to the match was very different than it had been in previous encounters. Well, slightly different. She got some moves in, armbars, headlocks and an attempted Muta lock, however, she still cowered behind the referee when it was turn for Austin to retaliate. Despite her fake tears and feigned innocence, whenever the newcomer stepped back from her, she'd come at him with a backhand slap, a stomp, or tugged at his clothes for each pin attempt.

After all the underhanded tactics, it was the Unproven cutter that gave Austin the victory over his treacherous opponent. She still pretended to cry as she was pinned, wiggling her legs desperately under him, but did stomp his toes before running up the ramp again.

Chad Lail vs Flash Morgan Webster

"Day of rage" started playing and Chad Lail walked down the ramp with a stern look on his face, arms at his sides, strong and confident as he stepped inside the ring to meet his opponent.

"In Mod We Trust!" - The familiar saying of this line was heard on the speaker as the crowd clapped along to the fellow tune of Flash Morgan Webster. Stepping out of the curtain with his trusty helmet beside him that is named Arabella. The self-proclaimed Modfather would take a look around at the crowd as he began to walk down the ramp and around the ring, hi-fiving a few members of the crowd before sliding inside the ring. Placing Arabella at the corner, Flash would go on the turnbuckle raising his fist up as the crowd began to chant along "Oi! Oi! Oi!"Alongside the theme. Looking rather pleased, Webster would get off from the turnbuckle soaking in the recognizable cheers of the crowd.

Flash went into the encounter stronger than ever before, countering Lail's attack's one by one and barely let him get any moves in. When the other man finally caught up to the pace of the match, he attempted to suplex Webster to get him out of the way... But to no avail. The Brit wouldn't budge. It was as if he'd increased a hundred pounds all of a sudden and pushed Chad off him easily, it was like wrestling a man twice his size trying to wrap his arms around Webster.

As the match went on and the surprise wore off, Lail followed Flash to the turnbuckle to hit him with a flurry of forearms, however, the attack backfired on him when the seemingly smaller man grabbed him for a belly to belly suplex, flinging Chad from the turnbuckle down to the announcing table, causing Colt, Mike and Griffin to scatter quickly away to get out of the crossfire.

After inspecting his hands, Flash came down from the ring, grabbed Lail and shoved him back inside, successfully pinning him.

From the ramp, Taeler Hendrix clapped slowly, blowing a kiss at the victorious Modfather.

Zack Sabre Jr. vs Allysin Kay

Zack walked calmly to the ring, the red, blue and white lights bounced back from his light jacket, reflecting on it from the moment he came out and even as he stood in the middle of the ring, the collar of his jacket popped up in his usual fashion. He started stretching and looked straight at the ramp, standing back up and jumping from side to side while he waited for his opponent to arrive.

As the melody gradually amplified, the harmonious hum signalling the arrival of the AK-47. As the words came forth with the resonating beat, she made her appearance in seconds. Nothing complex about her could be determined as she revealed herself to the crowd. Feathers embellished her features as they bounce upon her shoulders. Spiked bra, fishnets, and high-waisted shorts said it all. Allysin Kay: the very definition of a rebel. Everything about her expression read as apathy. Pinkies held up to her sides, she crosses her legs and bows before raising those fingers up high. The self-proclaimed savage continued down the ramp without a single shift in expression. Only when she climbed those steel steps did the faintest smile show, generating nothing short of a cold demeanor as she entered the ring, once again bowing as those pinkies were lifted up high.

After the unexpected interruption of their match during Phase Nineteen, Allysin Kay had been itching to get back at the Technical Wizard, and she didn't go easy on the champion, hitting him as hard as she could and targetting his arm to take his weapons away from him. Little by little and limb by limb she started tearing Sabre apart, well aware that giving him an inch of room would end up with her twisted in an impossible knot.

During her first attempt at the AK47, the dangerous Mount Crush felt her foundations shake when Zack wrapped himself tightly around her and held her in a crucifix hold, pushing all his weight down on her to bring her down and pin her. However, the damage had been done, and Sabre's arms couldn't hold her down long enough to win the match.

After minutes of incredible action and hold exchanges and escapes, Allysin Kay caught Sabre with the AK47, planting his face on the mat and turning him over to keep his shoulders down.

The referee raised her hand and she quickly shook it off his grasp, pointing at the timekeeper's table where the All-Weight Championship sat, demanding the official bring it to her.

With a killing glare, she turned towards the commentator's table when she was reminded that this was not a championship match, and Zack remained champion despite the defeat.

Sabre sat up in the middle of the ring, holding his right shoulder and smiling to himself while the fiery Miss Kay tried to pry the championship belt from the hands of the referee and two other officials that had been called down when things seemed to get out of control.

As soon as the wrestlers and officials left the ring and the Championship had been given back to Zack, Griffin pulled himself back into the ring. The audience was still alive with applause from the previous matchup. He pulled his golden mic out of his breast pocket.

It's a good thing he didn't put that title on the line, huh?

He laughed and moved on, leaning on the ropes toward the front row.

Thank you all for coming out tonight! I hope we'll be seeing every single one of you and all of your friends next week too! Next Wednesday is the last show we'll be having in this amazing country for now! So we'll be back, same time, same place for Phase Twenty Three, the end of this season, You're Gonna Carry That Weight. I'll be looking out in the crowd for you!

He said the last part with a wink and the lights and music went out with his smile.
