PCW Phase Nineteen: Do You Have A Comrade?

The huge arena was dim until the lights splashed red and orange over the ring and ramp. Yellow lights track up the ramp as the first notes of The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy start playing. Right as the first verse began, Griffin west appeared at the top of the ramp with his arms spread out, a huge grin on his face. Behind him, a Japanese man wearing a suit that matched the ring announcer's but was the reverse followed him to the ring.

Grif pulled down the rope to let him in and the two came to the center of the ring.

Helllloo Tokyo!

Immediately, the other man interpreted it into Japanese for him.

Well isn't this exciting? It's our very first show out of the United States and we are Jazzed as hell to have it here in Toyko at the Korakuen Hall!

He paused and went over his words in his head.

Am I allowed to say Hell? I don't remember. Probably! But PCW is here for the entire Month of May and we're kicking things off with our first phase of this season, Phase Nineteen, Do You Have a Comrade? Let's get this show on the road!

As the host announced the show, the interpreter mirrored the hand and body motions of the ring announcer and they both went to commentary, sitting side by side as the first competitor's music hit.

Indi Hartwell vs Frankie Valentine

When Indi Hartwell was announced and as Evanescence's the other side started playing, she stalked towards the ring, going around it, close to the barricade, picking fights with the booing fans, responding the thumbs down with hand waves to dismiss them as he climbed inside, sitting on the apron before rolling to ring, standing on the turnbuckle to show herself in her splendor, hopping down, set and ready.

The first few notes of “I Will Not Bow” hit and the crowd perked up, anxious to see the owner of the Breaking Benjamin tune as the titantron loads. The boos quickly split to cheers as Frankie Valentines name and face appear and she sauntered out of the curtain with her hands up, making a turn to show herself off and flexed, before walking down the ramp. She slid into the ring and up on the turnbuckle and flexed her arms again with a smirk on her face, hopping down to get ready for the match to start.

Hartwell and Valentine's match went strong from the start, both women could lift the other and they didn't hesitate to make this a suplex contest. After dumping one another on their heads, taking things out of the ring, on the apron and against the barricade, when they managed to make it to the ring, the Valentine's Day Massacre gave Frankie the victory over Hartwell.

Rhea Ripley & Tenille Dashwood vs Shaul Guerrero & Rachael Ellering

Both teams came out to the ring, Tenille and Rhea, and Shaul and Rachael met at the center of the squared circle and faced off as soon as the bell rung. Both of them were coming in with one point as a team. Tenille and Rhea's point had been reinstated after the surprising disbanding of AJ and Brandi's team, but that loss hadn't left their minds just yet.

After a hard-fought battle, where the impressive tandem maneuvers of the Australians had the audience in awe, while the team of Ellering and Guerrero's tagging timing had them both fresh each time they had to come in, it was the Legacy team the one to come out victorious after a combination of the Gory Bomb and the TKO.

Will Ospreay vs Flash Morgan Webster

All of the lights turn down and smoke fills the arena floor as silence slowly fills the arena. All of the sudden, the lights blast in the center of the stage as the speakers blare out 'Invincible' by Adelitis Way. From the circle of light, Will Ospreay rises from a kneeling position, his hood keeping his face hidden. Will then jumps up as he pulls down his hood. As he takes in the rush of the crowd, the lights dim down and he points to the ring as he cracks a smirk. Slowly jogging to the ring, taking in the sight of the arena, spinning to get a full view of his adoring audience. As he approaches the apron, he hops on to the squared circle and laughs as he places his back against the ropes. He stares out at the crowd and screams, “I RUN THIS!” before turning back around and using the ropes to propel himself into the ring. He approaches the corner as he waits for his opponent

"In Mod We Trust!" - The familiar saying of this line was heard on the speaker as the crowd clapped along to the fellow tune of Flash Morgan Webster. Stepping out of the curtain with his trusty helmet beside him that is named Arabella. The self-proclaimed Modfather would take a look around at the crowd as he began to walk down the ramp and around the ring, hi-fiving a few members of the crowd before sliding inside the ring. Placing Arabella at the corner, Flash would go on the turnbuckle raising his fist up as the crowd began to chant along "Oi! Oi! Oi!" Alongside the theme. Looking rather pleased, Webster would get off from the turnbuckle soaking in the recognizable cheers of the crowd.

The audience was firmly behind Ospreay, as they knew him better and had gotten used to the type of action he was going to present for them that night. Morgan Webster, though easy to cheer for, was being less backed by the Japanese audience, though that changed very quickly once the bell rung.

They barely touched the canvas once they started the match. Everything became high-flying moves and quick counter exchanges. Every minute was more exciting than the last and the crowd was equally divided in cheering for each competitor. By the end, though difficult, it was Flash who took the win with his 450 splash.

Zack Sabre Jr. vs Allysin Kay (All-Weight Championship Match)

Zack walked calmly to the ring, the red, blue and white lights bounced back from his light jacket, reflecting on it from the moment he came out and even as he stood in the middle of the ring, the collar of his jacket popped up in his usual fashion. He started stretching and looked straight at the ramp, standing back up and jumping from side to side while he waited for his opponent to arrive.

As the melody gradually amplified, the harmonious hum signalling the arrival of the AK-47. As the words came forth with the resonating beat, she made her appearance in seconds. Nothing complex about her could be determined as she revealed herself to the crowd. Feathers embellished her features as they bounce upon her shoulders. Spiked bra, fishnets, and high-waisted shorts said it all. Allysin Kay: the very definition of a rebel. Everything about her expression read as apathy. Pinkies held up to her sides, she crosses her legs and bows before raising those fingers up high. The self-proclaimed savage continued down the ramp without a single shift in expression. Only when she climbed those steel steps did the faintest smile show, generating nothing short of a cold demeanor as she entered the ring, once again bowing as those pinkies were lifted up high.

The crowd knew exactly when to boo and when to cheer, and though they found themselves drawn to the debuting Allysin Kay, they stood firmly behind Zack Sabre Jr. Even when the other wrestler escaped the complex holds that were wearing her out during the entire start of the match.

In a surprising turn of events, just as Kay was about to get to the ropes, and while the referee was looking closely at her hand, with Sabre unable to wrench that ankle lock anymore, a dark-clad hand pulled Zack closer to the middle of the ring, thus, pulling Allysin away from the ropebreak. Sabre tried to untie himself from the hold to set things right, but with just a few seconds to spare, the referee's decision had been made by the time he managed to release his opponent.

Though she didn't realize what had happened, Kay was forced to tap out to the tortuous hold she was in. In that split second, while Zack's hand was being raised in victory, Allysin saw Marty Scurll, who had interjected himself into the match to help his former tag team partner, slowly walked awa from ringside, watching closely as the All-weight championship was given back to the technician, despite the confusion on his face.

When the main event wrapped up and the competitors and Marty Scurll left the ring, Griffin and his interpreting friend for the night made it back into it.

And with that... your All-Weight Champion, Zach Sabre Jr retains!

The crowd was wild with mixed reactions. Griffin spun around in the ring.

I just want to say a big thank you to all of you for coming out and making our Japan debut the best it could be! We'll see you all back here next week! We'll be here all month! See you then, Flockers!

The interpreter kept up with him, relaying the messages with similar hand motions both of them smiling as the lights went out and the music came to a close.
