Not only does this E-Mail address not belong to an active account, but from THE VERY BEGINNING I have ALWAYS said I am NOT her, but her son, who took over the account (before you CANCELED it) because she got annoyed with how YOUR SITE is written by RETARDS who make it constantly block login attempts! You do it ON PURPOSE to purposely fuk up your own site, and you should fix it.  You could start by firing your 'computer' staff, and your so-called 'customer support' is also a joke = purposely running in circles to 'bill more hours' doing nothing but create MORE problems, like locking the account without telling us, so had to create a new one for no reason whatsoever than your stupid 'blame the messenger' game.

I am not the account holder.  My mom got so sick & tired of having 2 constantly change the password & try different 'type it in super slow' login tricks, she forwarded it to me to at least get it working.  I simply contacted them to INFORM them about the problem & help them fix it.

The one thing I would need to learn about is how to imbed silverlight like Netflix =) The 'layout' stuff is a piece of cake! And the whole 'login problems' thing ~ they are obviously messing it up ON PURPOSE because they are incompetent & overpaid, & should be FIRED instead. NO OTHER SITE has those kinds of problems. I've been online 'since the beginning of the internet'. Yours is the WORST for 'login problems'. It's like a comedy skit! =))

I am not being 'unprofessional', even though this is not a 'profession'. I'm just a random regular customer. The word U R maybe looking for is 'civil', & I am. I am not 'hurling random abuse'. I am highlighting problems & the solutions that will work. I do not use curse words or other 'bad talk'. I simply state the obvious: Your IT (Information Technology) team is TOTALLY incompetent & should all be FIRED ASAP! =) That will make the biggest improvement to your site BY FAR. Then you can (if you want to become even MORE popular) integrate (oh you love words like 'integrate' yes? =) some of the suggestions I made, like to do the 'favorites list' thing with 'multi-select' & 'number reorder' with 'apply' button, & move to silverlight instead of HTML5, & multiple video files at different resolutions, etc.

 

You certainly don't 'have' to do any of those things. They are simply GOOD ADVICE that you should use! =)

 

If you hire somebody to wash a car and they get mud all over the thing, they should not be paid. Same goes for your IT staff that made it such an absurdly over-complicated chore just to log in, & constantly requires changing of passwords. This is a well known issue with people all over the 'interwebs' complaining about this problem with your site.

You Can Do A (Higher Resolution) 'PAL DVDs Rentals' Alternative To Netflix? = AWE$OME! =8^D
If you guys are not into that (but you SHOULD be) please forward this around to any and everybody who may like this idea. The reason is 'PAL' format DVDs have much higher resolution & video quality than 'NTSC' versions. The frame rate is slightly less, but that's OK because it is still 'fast enough' and the extra detail more than makes up for it in overall 'realism'.

 

I rented an 'AlloAllo' DVD on Netflix & it dodn't look great. Their online streamer was also very 'messy'. Add to this the fact it was never shot all that well, & the overal look is very fake & trashy compared to even a random modern Youtube video with 'zero' budget.

 

BUT after getting 'AlloAllo' on a 'PAL' DVD set, and running it through 'FFDShow' filters, the look is almost as good as a fancy modern Blu-Ray disk! =) The main difference really is the very harsh & fake lighting in many 'set' scenes, but WoW! Looks TOTALLY different than just 'streaming' it on BritBox or Netflix or getting the NTSC DVD. SO much better. I should upload a page with examples, but I don't know if anybody will even have a look over there.

 

I would like to help you with this. A LOT of stuff out there was never on Blu-ray & maybe never will be. I could certainly UPgrade videos by making old stuff look similar to Blu-ray, but besides that you could ALSO rent them in PAL format, to 'NTSC regions' as an alternative 'higher resolution' version somewhere 'in between'.

 

We here in America can play 'PAL' content just fine. Depends on what software & players we use. With computers this is very easy, though can be a bit more tricky with stand-alone players. You could also have an area of your 'Pal For U' site or whatever U want 2 call it (the 'PAL Video Rentals' for NTSC regions thing) that $ells DVD players that are 'region free' or at least cover those U provide 'PAL' content from.

 

This may all sound a bit silly, but really the difference is very significant & important. Having things in native frame rate (like they were shot in PAL) also gives smoother motion, because when running noise reduction & whatever after it 'bridges' things better than just 'adding repeated frames' which is the typical 'telecine pulldown' (why they keep inventing silly 'terminology'? Just say 'frame rate'?? =))

 

It would be fun to 'advise' you on these things if you guys need help. There is so much great 'PAL' stuff out there = it's a shame how it gets 'hacked down' & 'crippled' by conversion to NTSC =(

There are several other problems with your web site that limit it's appeal & 'potential market reach' as 'popularity' goes. I will list some here, & maybe post a page about it? =) Here goes ~>

 

~ Need to fix the 'rejecting logins it knows to be correct' issue (most important! If people can't even get on reliably, they tend to drop the service & stop sending you money, etc.)

 

~ The search engine on your site is a joke. Stuff has to be typed in spelled exactly right, & it gives very limited, often misleading suggestions. It also doesn't cross-reference 'content' like searching by actor or episode instead of by series or movie name. It should search similar to netflix or google or Ebay do where it 'relates' terms to things that are 'similar'. This is really very easy if you simply add the DETAILS information to the 'search database' so for example searching an actor brings up all the different things you carry that they perform in.

 

~ There is no 'compact list' type feature for either the 'main site' or the 'favorites / watchlist' areas, instead only a maximum of 3 big 'windows' wide, which takes a lot of effort scrolling around. Netflix is ALSO annoying in how big the 'preview tiles' are, but it packs in way more of them, so can scan for more things easier. Ideally you should provide a 'list' type feature with previews on the left, like Youtube does, and also a 'favorites' section that is similar to what netflix had before they destroyed it to try and force their 'company preferences'. It used to allow users to custom sort them not simply by dragging them around one by one (which they also broke), but ALSO to click the titles & type in a number exactly what position we want it to go to, on multiple titles, & then hit an 'apply' button so it is a single step instead of a page refresh for every single item that needs to get moved.

 

~ You should offer multiple different 'bandwidth/resolutions' so videos can stream more reliably on slower internet connections & also on devices with slower CPUs &/or smaller screens where 'HD' or whatever is not necessary. A lot of PCs 'stutter' when playing some Britbox videos. By contrast, Netflix will automatically go to a lower resolution (smaller video file) like Youtube does to help it play with more stability (though not quite as 'sharp').

When something is shaking a lot I just stop the video & play something else. Not going to waste my time with nausea-inducing junk.

It is not an 'image puzzle error' or anything to to with our computers or how we are logging in or the browsers we are using. The list I sent you was partial, & '360' is a very recent version of Chrome that was hacked by the Chinese to run on XP & fully supports HTML5 video including Britbox.

 

You should really stop with the 'grasping at straws' thing trying to play 'blame the user'. The problem is that YOUR WEB SITE PURPOSELY REJECTS PASSWORDS IT KNOWS TO BE CORRECT, REPEATEDLY, CONSTANTLY FORCING PEOPLE TO DO A 'RESET PASSWORD' ROUTINE VIA THE ACCOUNT EMAIL!!!

 

Get it straight = THAT is the issue, & NOTHING ELSE!!! =P It is YOUR WEB SITE causing the error, & (ultimately) your evil & incompetent programmers who designed the site to do exactly this, to annoy & 'constantly re-verify' people, I guess as a technique to try & limit 'account sharing' by forcing people to constantly 'check their E-Mail to 'reset password'.

 

Like I mentioned before, the only way to fix this is to CHANGE YOUR WEB SITE so it is not PURPOSELY CIRPPLED!!! =)

 

You can start by firing your 'IT' (Information Technology) staff, because there are a gazillion other ways to give yourselves 'account security' without constantly playing this dumb 'change your password every frooking time you try to log in with a different device, & even then you have to type the password in super slow to try & hope & pray it works once in a while =))

 

NO OTHER SITE I HAVE EVER USED has this level of bull$hit 'login trouble', EVER!! You guys win the GRAND PRIZE for 'fail train' design! =))

I also noticed that some of the web browser versions you sent us such as (Firefox 52.9.0 Firefox 52.2.1) are a little outdated and that may be causing error messages to come through when signing into BritBox or while trying to stream BritBox, as BritBox is a newer streaming service that is not supported by older browser operating versions . Your BritBox site here has been used on 3 different computers my mom has ~ 2 running Windows XP & 1 running Windows 7. They all have the same problem, even when copying the portable web browser to another machine so everything is the same pretty much in terms of what your servers are probably seeing, as they all go in through the same router in her house.

 

She watches on computer & also from computer feeding into a big screen TV. I've tried lots of different web browsers & it's the same problem on them all. It's an issue with your site, not our end.

 

Note for those interested in running BritBox on XP, there is a version of 'recent' Google Chrome called '360 Extreme 12' that works fine for Britbox on Windows XP. You can get it here:

Among other places =) I've modded it to remove Russian & Chinese more than the default setup...

Note: I would be happy to do 'user experience testing' on a variety of browsers for you guys =) For example, there are lots of people in poor countries with old computers who use Windows XP because it is faster & will run on those old machines because more drivers for the hardware they are 'stuck with'. By doing something like Netflix who use 'Silverlight' to stream videos, you can run on ALL those devices reliably, instead of pretty much 'only Windows 7 & later' (unless using that 'special' 360 Extreme 12 Chrome browser I mentioned).

It was complete bull$hit! =) The usual 'we're so sorry let's pass the potato and not do anything to solve the problem' thing = lame.

 

Your site is purposely sabotaged to disable passwords, even when they are correct, forcing us to constantly change them.

 

Fix it. No other site tries to pull this kind of $hit. Netflix always works perfect, same as almost any E-Mail provider or whatever else. When they have a password problem there is usually a legit reason like some 'error'. When YOU do it is just 2 piss us off, as if it is some kind of 'anti-sharing measure' where every fuking time we log in with a different device we have to go back to our E-mail and do a 'change the password again' routine to prove we are the 'email holder' = PATHETIC!

 

Get a GRIP! =)

 

If you want some 'alternate security options' I can make a list, thanx.
Your IT department should be fired.

No excuses! =P
This is a well-known problem lots of other people complain about all over the internet about your BROKEN web site.
Netflix & other sites NEVER have these issues.
Literally in my many years of life, I have NEVER come across a site that is more broken than yours in 'log in problems'. PayPal was once ALMOST as bad, but it was just 'buggy', not literally anti-user like 'get the fuk off & don't come back' attitude with the constant rejection of known correct passwords.

 

If you want 'security' against 'sharing' it's really easy to do by tracing the 'IP address' of streamers to see it's not 'all over the place simultaneously', & also you could demand credit card details IF it is a 'bandwidth issue' like tons of 'downloads' across 'different regions' & so on.

 

There are like a hundred ways you can fix this 'paranoia' nonsense without BREAKING your site ON PURPOSE like this.

 

Or maybe it has nothing to do with 'security' & some of the 'management' is trying to play 'options' against the site to make money on the side investing? You know = betting AGAINST the success of the site? That would make sense too = like giving a soccer player bowling shoes & pretending they are equipped to win a game? HAHA

 

If they KNOW the outcome will be bad, then they KNOW which direction the stock will go? Many theories, but whoever is doing this, it is absolutely on purpose.

There is no 'technical support issue' you can help with.
What you (as an organization) need to do to fix the problem is fire all those who are responsible for purposely crippling your web site like this. It is HARMING YOUR BU$INE$$!!! =P

 

There is nothing 'wrong' with my 'devices' or 'techniques'. I am doing everything perfectly, & no matter what, your WEB SITE is DESIGNED 2 reject passwords very often, usually when switching to another machine.

 

I would GUESS that this is a half-baked & very dumb way some 'insiders' there think they can 'combat account sharing' and 'subletting', but all it does is piss off people who would otherwise want to stay with your service & continue paying $ub$cription$ 2 U.

 

Your price is not high, but very good, but when people can't even log on because YOU have PURPOSELY DESIGNED YOUR SITE TO BE ANTI-USER / ANTI-CU$TOMER like this, the problem is not a matter of $upport.

 

You should fix your WEB SITE. It has NOTHING 2 do with ME =)

 

Netflix for example NEVER has any problem like this. They have other 'issues' they put in there to purposely fuk things up, but they always accept legitimate passwords & we are NOT forced to constantly change them just to get back in. With YOU GUYS it's a constant game of 'prove you have access to the E-Mail account for the creator', over & over again.

 

Get a grip! I would imagine over time people playing 'games' of 'sharing accounts' will come up with 'public E-Mail pages' so everybody can go there to find out what the 'latest password' is for today, or this hour or minute, as everybody 'across the network' keeps having to change everything every frooking time they try to log on.

 

There are other ways to combat 'prohibited sharing'. If you could put me in contact with your 'computer department' I could enlighten their dum azzez =)

Your site is broken and your '$taff' just give a runaround then say 'talk to somebody else'.
You should fire all of them & hire somebody who actually knows how to write code =)
