Counterfeit Cards ~ $o FAKE! =;-o
I bought a couple video cards lately and have had a lot of problems trying to get them working reliably. The stability has been $HOCKINGLY bad, so checked a program called 'GPU-Z' to find more information on the chips they use so I would know what to search on Google for more help with the drivers, etc., and it discovered that the cards are FAKES! = the card 'BIOS' is misreporting the chips! They were also sold as something they R not (fake model name in the ad!). Somebody went on there and modded the BIOS on the card @ some point along the line (maybe PNY or whoever?), which is criminal fraud = intentional deception to acquire money (or something else of value). They were $old on Fleabay as 'GeForce 8400' but are actually 'GeForce 200M'. It's a $cam. There I said it twice. Sure maybe the seller was $cammed 2 = HOO NOZE! 3'rd time's a charm? Sure yea' 'Device Manager' reports the card as a 'GeForce 8400GS', but it AIN'T! =:-(
So what cards use a 'GT216' GPU?? The 'GeForce 200M' is 1...

& here are some posts cataloging the many problems I have had getting these to work. I guess the driver is expecting it to be something it is not, which leads to incredably poor stability...

I can go on the nVidia web site and try installing a wide variety of 'legacy' drivers trying to find one that will 'maybe' get more stability out of the card, but since the BIOS on the card is modded it will probably still generate errors like oddly crashing when doing simple things (like changing an FFDShow preset, crop, resize, or whatever), rather like trying to run a program for a particular version of windows it was not written for, and 'hacking' it into starting by misreporting the OS it is using... not the best way to go about it. I guess what I've learned here is when buying video cards to immediately test them with 'GPU-Z' to see if they are what they claim to be, which can help avoid a lot of wated time & effort =) Live & Learn! =D Gimme my $$$ bak! =P But enough with 'Card Cri$is'...

So entertaining! I'm fascinated the lengths people go through 2 pull cheap trix! I recall a TV remote I got years back all fancy outside just like the real 1 but 'universal' trash inside ~ only 'sort of' worked, 'mostly' = got my $ back. Didn't they spend so much more 2 do fraud rather than just getting real 1's in the 1'st place? LOL!! Here's a different example of TechCorruption$ =D Notice they mention AGP and PCIe together on the thing even though those R 2 totally different interfaces, & also misspelled 'Catalyst' as 'Catakyst' HAHAHA =)) I guess the idea is so they don't have 2 print as many 'trick boxes' because they can just throw in whatever 'spoof' card they might have lying around regardless of the design. Remember: "Massive Quality" ~B^)
2 B fair, what game even looks like that? ... All smooth & artsy ~ if they did I might play! =D Should B another law like 2 require card makers & stuff print a cigarette-type label: "WARNING: Your game will never look N E where near so sleek!" What they need R photo-realistic 'Cheesecake' games where life is cheap & every1 loox a fit athletic '10' ~ like 2 customize who & what type of people even appear in the game = no 'token blobs' or 'diversity quotas'. 'Till then as eye candy goes I prefer 2 gaze other waze. =) Game developers, R U listening? Like how 'bout a 'SuperStripper' game where players can create & trade awesome moves 4 dance routines, & various venues & stuff... a whole 'exploration' of 'HoeTown' where they 'Hoedown' & The Hoes Throw Down in Tex-Sux! =)) Laser scan some 'Ranch Bar Hottie' & U got something WAAAY more fun than 'fragging' stuff I think = tap in some moves & watch her 'GO'
