Fellow Friends,
It's time to announce one really hard decision that we have made in the last few days. We agreed that "Ofanziva " will stop all its activities. It is not something connected entirely with the situation that CSKA Sofia FC is in and that is why we are stating our position even before it is clear what will happen to our Football club. Even if the One and only CSKA Sofia will be financially rehabilitated and continue its exsistence this will not change our situation. In the last twelve months "Ofanziva " has been a target to tons of lies and defamations only because we had a hard stance different from the one of the mass of CSKA supporters. The propaganda against our group and the tension provided by the uncertainty in CSKA Sofia's future obviously gave results after people from "Sector G", that we always thought are our friends and brothers, joined the chorus of the people defaming us. Whatever happens with CSKA Sofia we will always be the ones to blame and the ones "dividing" the fans. We will be "the ones that stand in Ganchev 's way and helping Bojkov " or "the ones that sent Ganchev away to bring Bojkov ". It is a situation that makes us feel unwanted in our stand. After we are gone people will have to find other ones to blame...
Clearly this is not the only and not the most important reason for by far the toughest decision in our lives. As all of you know, when "Ofanziva " was founded there was a declaration that the organization will prefer to seize its existence than to make a compromise with its founding principles. It's sad that we are living in a country in which there is no place for men with principles and ideals. If some of us were thinking otherwise, they had a reality check early on. There were many times that we had to resign to things that we had no power to change with only one thought in our minds: to work for the good of "Sector G". We made several compromises for that reason.
Our destiny was to exist as a group in the most hard times for CSKA Sofia FC . Hard times for the club always reflect on the stands because they bring up critical moments and different opinions. In these exact moments we made compromises thinking it was all for the good of the football club and "Sector G". Every other "compromise" that we made was always not to be the last one and led to another one that was in an even bigger conflict with our principles.
When someone is giving the best years of their youth and puts family, friends and work behind "Sector G" there comes a time that we start asking ourselves is all this worth it when you have to make so much "compromises". Until you reach a point when the answer to this question is "No"...
Even if there is a solution to the football clubs' problems that will be acceptable for all fans (if such a solution is even possible) we will still not be able to continue with our activity due to the reasons given above. For us to come back on the stand there are things that need to change in it that we don't see happening anytime soon. There's a list with great ultra groups sharing our mentality that had to take the same decision as us today. Some came back after few months, other - after years, and some - never came back. What will happen with "Ofanziva" only time will tell.
We can take pride and leave with our heads held up high after everything that we have done in the last five years. We started as a group when "Titan" was heavily stealing from CSKA by ruling the club, we had to go to other clubs' stadiums for our own home games, we lived TWO years with a closed stand... It was only October 2014 that "Sector G" opened its gates once more and we could reveal our true potential. Just weeks after that came the ten games without CSKA Sofia scoring a single goal and soon after came our relegation to third tier football because of debts. Still our stand was the true leader in the Bulgarian ultra scene. Our creative choreos, their difficulty and quality, have distanced "Sector G" from the cliches and mediocrity that our few enemies in Bulgaria were producing. We started comparing ourselves with the best stands in Europe and made it to the top of many ultra-related compilations. We made the whole world talk about CSKA Sofia with our tifos. We can say for sure that the last two years are the best in our stand's history. All this was made with finances coming exclusively from fans donations and selling fans articles. We showed that a great ultra stand can get to the highest level possible without taking one penny from the club's owners.
There are few things that we regret and are still asking ourselves "What if?" Where would our stand be today if there were no debt troubles with our club in the last five years? What we could've achieved if "Sector G" was open all the time in our existence? What would've happened to CSKA Sofia if more people supported the protests of the fan-group "14" against "Titan" in 2010 and our own protests from 2012 and 2013? Perhaps we would have never reached today's situation and asked those questions. Many of our ideas did not materialise but that's life...
We want to thank everyone that supported us trough the years. So many ultra groups from "Sector G" and non-organized ultra' from the stand, so many fans from the other two stands, guys living many miles away from Sofia. Your trust in "Ofanziva" was the best recognition for us.
It was a pride and great HONOUR for us to work in the name of "Sector G" and CSKA Sofia!
