Cover The Syllabus

As per experts, it mostly takes a year to cover all the topics in the IAS syllabus. So start preparing, when you start thinking of the job. Don’t wait for anything, do it now.

 

When you start preparing for the IAS exam, do not involve in anything, your focus and dedication should be only on the preparation for the IAS exam. 

 

Choosing Optional Subject

Choosing the optional subject is foremost important. Because, one will be very interested in the beginning and when the days are passed, aspirants will start to get bored with the optional subject. So, choose the one that you are really interested in and do not choose what others choose.

How to select the optional subject? 

Make your optional subject into a list. Also, know about the subjects that you are going to cover. Check out yourself on those topics. It is nothing wrong with seeking other's help while choosing the optional subject, but you have to make the final decision. 

 

Making Notes

Most of the IAS Academy has recommended students to take notes for their students while preparing and in class. 

Taking notes will help them to view the important points from their syllabus. 

Always have your notes in your hand and open it when you are feeling too wired of the subjects. 

 

Writing answer in UPSC

It is one of the main parts of the exam. Practice your writing and make your presentation neat and understandable. Sketch and make graphs whenever it is possible. 

 

NCERT Books for UPSC

Candidates mostly study buying various books, but they must also start studying from NCERT books. NCERT books from standard 6th to 12th covers many topics of UPSC. According to IAS Academy in Chennai, students no need to buy all the books for their preparations.
