Swipe away Night Period Leaks

Night-time care during periods requires using extra-long sanitary napkins which can provide great protection with high absorbency. Overnight sanitary napkins have multiple layers for maximum absorption.

Menstruation marks a significant change in a girl’s life. And the first few years can be intimidating. As your date approaches every month, suddenly so many questions pop up in your head. You ping your friends, but they are just as baffled as you are.

Leaks happen, particularly at night. Don’t let that stress you. Be kind to yourself, you are still new to it. Periods seems daunting but remember taking care of yourself during period nights is not rocket science. Just some basic information and you are good to go…. to a good nights’ sleep!

  1. Let’s take it from the top. Your night needs are different from your day. You will need overnight sanitary pads which have multiple layers that absorb the flow deeply to keep the surface dry and avert leakage.
  2. Extra-long sanitary napkins provide greater protection as they cover a large part of the panty. With greater absorbency, they will keep you moist free through the night.
  3. Sanitary Napkins Brands with wings are particularly ideal for nights. They stay in place, even as you toss and turn in your sleep, to provide enhanced protection against leakage for extended hours.
  4. During your periods its best to sleep sideways in the foetal position. It places gentle pressure on the belly. Not only is it relaxing but it also reduces the chances of leakage.
  5. Completely avoid sleeping on the belly, as it puts pressure on the abdomen and increases the flow. Resulting in higher chances of leakage. And if you like to sleep on your back, soft sanitary napkins with a wider back will provide you best coverage.
  6. Wear cotton panties during your periods. You can even wear two at night if you are worried about staining your clothes.

If you have a heavy flow place a bath towel on the bed. Just in case there is a leak, the towel will keep the bed sheet safe.
