After that one sleepless night
In the morning dawn that challenged the beauty of twilight
I believe I nearly lost my sight
Enraptured by epic, ultraviolet light
I experienced something quite exquisite
An experience that replaced my previous judgmental requisites
There was a bright light that overwhelmed me so
It seemed to happen so quickly
As deep black turned quietly into a white glow
But despite the vision that held my shocked eyes in stunned fright
I began to notice a spectrum of colorful delight
Captured within each particle of the past eve's icy flight
Were the teardrops of rainbows remaining silently stuck in still-life
I saw past the facade of the blinding highlight
I saw directly into the plight of each fractal's starlight
Now in a place far beyond midnight's firelight
I found myself frozen in enthralling excite
I gasped, you see, when I allowed myself such a notion
Still I could not shake the idea
That I stood on the stained glass of an otherworldly nexus of sprites
