What is TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission)?

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is an independent constitutional body. The Members for this Commission are appointed by the Governor of Tamilnadu and they can be removed only by the President of India. As per the Constitution of India, it is kept away from political and executive influences. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission recruits almost all State Government servants. Political parties, Ministers and Senior Government officials do not have any power to control either the Commission or its Members and even the staff of the commission. So the general myth that is prevailing in the minds of youngsters that the ruling party, or the Ministers can influence the Commission is wrong. The selection process of this commission is transparent.
