Is it Safe to Eat an Orgain Protein Shake?

My 3 Favorite Vegan Protein Powders

It's a common question: is it safe to eat an Orgain protein shake? The answer is that it's really not safe to eat Orgain products, in general. Although you can find some that have been specially processed to avoid the additional preservatives and other ingredients found in others, it's not as safe as you might think.

Orgain protein shakes are made with natural, organic sources of protein and other vitamins and minerals that are proving to support your body's ability to maintain strong muscle mass. In this respect, they work just like other protein shakes. However, their source of protein is actually much higher in quality, making them a better choice.

Also, unlike other brands, Orgain does not contain artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners. This allows it to retain more of its original taste. Orgain has also eliminated the chemical preservatives used in most of its competitors.

You'll find that Orgain takes pride in being the only brand of protein powder on the market that includes collagen and elastin as part of its protein composition. It also contains organic whey, which is processed without the use of artificial hormones, or artificial sweeteners. Just as important, the company says that they use only natural supplements, which makes it very unlikely that you'll be putting anything unnatural into your body.

However, it's important to note that the company uses very few organic sources of protein. To add up the amount of natural protein found in organic sources, you need to multiply the percentage of organic sources in every serving by at least 3.

So, is it safe to eat an Orgain protein shake? The answer is "not really."

First, thereis no way to be sure that the products you are eating are all grown under completely organic conditions. There are very few companies that offer organic products that are actually grown organically.

Second, it's vital that you keep checking the labels when shopping for foods labeled "true organic foods." Organic foods are sold at a premium, but the companies that claim to be working with "organic" standards may be deceiving you because it's not really necessary to do so.

Products labeled "natural" usually mean that the ingredient has been treated with one of several chemicals, including a form of heat known as dehydration, so you need to look for something that contains pure, organic whey protein isolate. While the inclusion of a form of processing is a benefit, it does not make the product healthy.

If you're looking for a product that can provide you with the bulk of your daily protein needs, go with protein supplements that contain whey protein isolate. However, remember that just because a protein supplement contains whey, doesn't mean that it is healthy.

Always check the ingredients label before you buy anything at a health food store. Even a seemingly healthy product will contain ingredients that can potentially harm your body.

Don't make the mistake of buying a product with the hopes that it will provide you with the bodybuilding results you want in a short time period.
