Red Tent Doulas Update and Invitation
We, at Red Tent Doulas, extend our warmest greetings of peace to you.
As an organization committed to enriching the perinatal year through training for doulas, midwives (both clinical and traditional), and providing anti-racism training in maternity services, we are reaching out to share some crucial updates and invitations to collaborate.
Recent Realizations and Our Response
Following a recent trip to Dahab, Egypt, positioned near the Rafah border, we've encountered urgent needs among Palestinian mothers affected by the conflict. The situation has propelled us to act, honoring the principle that when mothers are in need, we must extend our support if possible.
A New Birth Center Initiative
In a significant development, we've been gifted a building outside Cairo to establish a birth and rest center for women. This initiative urgently requires the collaboration of health professionals, including doctors, clinical midwives, and NGOs, to ensure we have the necessary supplies and support to launch successfully.
Invitations to Connect and Coordinate
To facilitate this, we are hosting two pivotal Zoom meetings:
- Project Briefing Meeting: Scheduled for February 9th 2024 at 6 PM UK time.
