Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Class 10th (High School) from a recognized board.
- Acceptance can also be made of one that possesses the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years (as of July 1, 2025)
- As per the policy of the respective government, there will be age relaxation for the reserved categories.

Application Fee:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (£400 if you sit for the CBT)
- SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Females: ₹250 (refundable if the candidate appears for the CBT)
Steps to Apply:
Online Registration:
- Visit the official RRB website: http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/.
- Click on the “New Registration” link.
- Input necessary details including; full name, date of birth, Aadhaar number, phone number and email address.
- Fill the registration form and authenticate the email ID & Mobile number through OTP sent by the portal.
Application Form Submission:
- Signing in will be through the registration number and password.
- Finish Part I of the application by stating the education qualification, community, gender, religion and much more.
- In Part II, two posts from the responses mentioned must be made along with the indication of preference/priority.
Upload Documents:
- Please scan and upload photographs and signatures and other additional documents as per the given format and size.
Payment of Application Fee:
- The applications can submit the application fee online using debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
- Make sure payment of the amount is done before the due date.

As earlier indicated, candidates need to attain the qualifying pass mark to move to the next.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- For Male Candidates:Raise and transfer 35 kg for 100 meters in two minutes; walk 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
- For Female Candidates:Carry 20 kg vertically for 100 m in 2 min, walk vertically dragging the load for 2 min; run 1000 m in 5 min and 40 s.
Document Verification and Medical Test:
- Candidates that were selected will be required to go through document verification.
- A medical fitness test will also be useful to confirm their fitness physically, medically, to undertake the job.
