Why do relievers pitch from the stretch?

In the woolen uniform long stretches of baseball, hitters would (or could) be hypnotized by that large number of developments and twists. They'd just see that pitcher "live", at the time (during the game), and would have either depend on their ability or expertise in getting and following the baseball, or they'd need to search out a tip or tell showed by the pitcher during his windup and conveyance.

TV changed all that. While the garbs changed from fleece to polyester, hitters could now watch pitchers from a seat in the clubhouse, or in the lodging bar. They could concentrate on a pitcher, from a distance, from serene environmental elements as opposed to attempting to review those tells from memory while bumped around on a train or transport.

Tape changed all that. While the methods of transportation modernized, and presently added broad group flights, you can accept that one of the main things to take care of for a Club was to sort out some way to get their hitters to watch tape of pitchers any place and whenever the situation allows. Clubhouse, condo, lodgings, on the flight - anyplace was fair game. The hitters would search for tips and tells, and through redundancy, would commit them to memory.

Advanced video changed all that considerably further! Presently, hitters not just had broad video accounts of a pitcher returning to when they were in youth/novice ball (whenever justified), however it was filed and sorted by year, game, circumstance, and pitch! Video pieces and arrangements could be overseen midway and sent from a distance. Hitters could watch them on PC screens, then PCs, and presently on tablets and cell phones. These could watched while inactive, while at a feast, while in the batting confine, or, most essentially, while on the flight or transport to the game. As of late, hitters are going to the clubhouse during the game to survey and examine a pitcher after their at-bat to recognize contributes expectation of their next at-bat!
