It's only natural for living creatures to fight to protect their own lives. But what makes us human is that
we fight for others. But who do you fight for? How hard must you fight...? That's the true measure of
what human life is worth. We defense attorneys are warriors who are constantly challenged by that
question. Even when the battle is over, and the bonds that connect us are severed... We always return...
Time and time again.

RUUDILUCA: ACE ATTORNEY OF OT!
By: Holy2334 For Ruudiluca, Merry Kongristmas!
Ep. 1: Gardevoir
Ruudiluca heard the alarm go off and hits the button to stop the noise. He gets up well rested
from a good night’s sleep, and heads off to his daily routine. He takes a shower, make sure he’s well
shaved, puts on his pants one leg at a time like everybody else, and gets ready for his next day on the
job. He makes his own breakfast and sits down at the kitchen table with his delicious eggs and toast. He
turns on the TV to see what is going to be his next case. Gardevoir, murdered? The news said that the
suspect murdered her last night at the OT Park and was rumored that he was going to commit sexual
acts prior to the murder, but she refused and was killed for that reason. This was the case Ruudiluca will
be hearing for the next few days as he knows who the suspect is. His job is to defend him.

After finishing his breakfast, Ruudiluca shuts off the TV and heads to the police station where
he’ll meet the “Gardevoir murderer” and see what has happened between last night and now. Ruudi
enters the station and talks with officer Bluji for a bit before meeting his client. He walks in a small room
where a guy in a red hood is seen sitting at a table, looking down.

“We had to confiscate the mask he was wearing,” explained officer Bluji, “He hasn’t said much either,
but he’s all yours.

Officer Bluji leaves the room and Ruudi slowly shuts the door. He walks up to the table and sits
down looking at a bobbing head with a small puddle of tears underneath. Ruudi, unpacks his briefcase
and gets his paperwork out and hears quiet sobbing.

“I…….did….not…kill….her,” Gabidou quietly sobs as he is distraught with the recent news that he heard.

“That’s why I’m hear Gabidou,” said Ruudi in a calm voice, “Now can you tell me where you were last
night?”

“I-I was in a smash tournament with Icebomb last night.”

“Oh? Well, this should be easy then, where can I talk to him. He is an alibi and can easily get you out of
this case!”

“He is away at the moment. He went to take his prize money and went to Japan for the weekend.”

“Alright then. Don’t worry Gabidou, I’ll make sure you are declared innocent from this hideous act, and
we’ll find the real killer and put him to justice.”

Ruudiluca writes down some notes on his pad of paper, while Gabidou wipes the tears from his
face. He looks at Ruudi with fear in his eyes. He knows that he is innocent, but he’s afraid that his love
for Gardevoir and the supposed rejection might be enough to get him thrown in jail. Ruudi, finishes
writing the last couple of notes and puts his pen down. He looks into the red face of Gabidou.

“Do you know anybody else who may have loved Gardevoir?” Ruudi asked.

“No? I don’t think so. Everybody knows I’m the only one who is in love with her, but I’m too afraid to say
it. I-I was going to ask her out last night though, but Icebomb was talking about the Smash tournament
so I didn’t bother.

“Hmm, do you have any enemies?”

“I have a few actually,” Gabidou pauses for a second, “None of them could’ve done this though. The
only person who would’ve done this is actually in jail already.”

“Ok,” Ruudi said as he writes down more notes on his paper.

“So, what’s going to happen now?” Gabidou asks, shaking.

“Well, we go to trial tomorrow,” Ruudi answers, “I’ll have to work with what I got for now. You were
most likely set up to take the hit on the murder. Someone has been spreading news that you did it
because of her rejection to doing things with you. Since you couldn’t have been there to have done that,
we need to find the person who did.”

“Al….alright,” Gabidou quietly said.

Ruudi finished writing the last few notes down on his paper and left the room. He walks down
the hall towards the exit as he sees a man walking towards him. The man seem very excited to see him,
but Ruudi was a bit puzzled as to why.

“Hello there, you must be Gabidou’s lawyer. My name is Zicit, and I’ll be prosecuting this case,” Zicit said
with enthusiasm.

“He didn’t do it,” Ruudi responded.

“Of course he did, and I’ll make sure that the sick bastard is in jail too,” Zicit said smiling, “Well, looks
like I’ll see you in court tomorrow then. Bye!”

Ruudi left the police station and headed home. He has to prepare for a big day tomorrow.
Looking after the notes he has taken down. Reviewing the case that is going on. He knows Gabidou
didn’t kill Gardevoir, but the big question would be then who did? Hopefully he’ll get his answer
tomorrow in court as it seems Zicit has some witnesses that say saw Gabidou do it.

The next day Ruudi gets up and heads to the courtroom where the trial would soon begin. He
brought his girlfriend Ricenot along for support of her just being there as the trial goes underway. Ruudi
walks in the chatroom where he sees his client in the red hood still, and Zicit on the other side. There
was small chatter going on in the room waiting for the judge to enter the room. Just a few moments
later, officer Uzzbuzz told everybody to stand as the judge walks in holding a candy cane that he’s
known to be snacking on during the trial. The judge sits down and everyone else follows him after he
gives the order.

Zicit walks in front of the judge, cool and calm. He begins to start his opening statement.

“Your honor, today we are here to solve a grave injustice that has happened in our lands of OT today.
Two nights ago, a beautiful creature has died. Her time on this earth was cut short by this….this monster
over here (points at Gabidou). The real questions here though is why? Why does a man have to go these
lengths to gain payback for something we all knew he was never going to get in the first place? I don’t
need answers for this though. I DEMAND JUSTICE! JUSTICE FOR GARDEVOIR!”

Zicit without nothing more to say, looks back into the eyes of a terrified Gabidou and gives a
little smirk towards him. Ruudiluca grabs onto Gabidou’s shoulder and Gabidou looks at him. Ruudiluca
can see the terrified look in Gabidou’s eyes as well. They both give a little nod towards each other and
Ruudi walks up in front of the judge. With passion, Ruudi looks at the judge who is nibbling on his candy
cane, and takes a brief look at the jury and begins his opening statement.

“Your honor and people of the jury. We are all here today to find justice for a wonderful being that is no
longer here with us today. I am however confident that my client did not do this and we would not be
finding the justice that Gardevoir deserves as said earlier if we throw an innocent man in prison. Why
would someone who loves someone so much commit such a heinous and criminal act? I do not want to
see an innocent man go to prison today. I hope you guys see the same.”

Ruudi slowly walks away from the front and returns to his position next to Gabidou. Gabidou,
still nervous about the whole thing, looks at Ruudi and gives him a little smile of hope that he’ll walk
away from this a free man. The judge who is now finishing up nibbling on his candy cane responds.

“Does the prosecution call its first witness?”

“Yes,” Zicit replied, “I call Zam to the stand.”

Zam walks down the alleyway onto the stand. He sits calm as he is prepared to be asked a few
questions by prosecutor Zicit.

“Alright Zam, raise your right hand,” Zicit ordered, “Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and
nothing but the truth so help you Greg?

“What? Hell no!” Zam said with disgust, “but I’ll answer questions though with the truth.”

“What is your profession Zam?”

“I am a professional love expert into swooning the ladies. Especially Emily, rawr.”

“And how much do you think Gabidou loves Gardevoir?”

“Gabidou? Well hell, if he had the chance, he would probably bend her over and spank that green ass
like a disobedient avocado. I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned that shit into a ripe tomato.

Ricenot chuckles in the crowd and Ruud looks at her with a dirty look. The judge looks at Zam
with disgust. Zicit continues asking a few more questions.

“So, he loves her that much?”

“Well yea, more like obsessed if you ask me. Liking a Furry, heh.”

“So you wouldn’t be surprised if he would want to do those kind of things to her?”

“Hey man, Gabidou is a bit unpredictable when it comes to that kind of love so I wouldn’t know.”

“No further questions.”

Ruudi thinks for a second as he plans how to approach Zam. He walks up to take his turn at a
few questions.

“So, you are a love expert right?”

“Damn right I am. Have you heard what I just said? I can probably get in bed with your girl in .3 seconds
flat with just flick of my golden hair if I wanted to.

“Uhhh, ok. So do you think Gabidou would kill her if he loved her that much?”

“Meh, it depends what he likes I guess. I don’t think anyone would kill anything that they love in that
degree though.”

“No further questions.”

Zam steps down and walks back to his seat. He gives Ricenot a wink and she gives him the
finger. The case continues with Zicit calling his next witness, the person who supposedly saw the crime.
Ruudi knows that his only witness that he’ll need is Gabidou. It will be interesting on what the witness
says though. The judge is trying to calm down a bit after Zam’s harsh language, he nibbles on another
candy cane. Zicit walks up in front of him.

“I would like to call Mikkmar to stand,” Zicit said with confidence.

Mikkmar enters the same way Zam did, and gets on the podium. He brushes his hair back a bit
and prepares to answer Zicit’s questions.

“Alright Mikkmar, raise your right hand,” Zicit ordered and Mikkmar complies.

“Do you tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you Greg?”

“No, and even the guy telling this story knows you don’t say anything that stupid either. He needs to
stop.”

“Ok, ok. So how do you know Gabidou?

“That furry lover? Ha, he’s the kind of person that just argues with you for no reason.”

“So I take it you’re aware that he is in love with Gardevoir?”

“In love? Ha talk about obsessed.”

“How obsessed do you think he is with Gardevoir?”

“OBJECTION!” shouted, Ruudiluca, “This has nothing to do with what he has witnessed at all.”

“Sustained,” The judge said and Zicit continues asking Mikkmar questions.

“So, what did you see that night when Gardevoir was murdered?” Zicit asked.

“Well, I saw her and a guy in a red hood talking, next to a tree. It looked like she was trying to push him
away, but he just kept trying to get close to her. That’s when I saw that she tried to run and he just
throws her to the tree and stabs her cold.”

“So if you saw this, why didn’t you stop him?”

“It happened so, so quickly. I actually ran off before he can see me. If he did he would probably kill me
too.”

“So you know this was Gabidou?”

“He always wears the red hood. I didn’t see his face though, but I just know that he is just so damn
obsessed with her that he would be the one to talk to her. Like, we can have a conversation about the
stupid shit convos Pokerpo has and for some reason, she pops up in the conversation.”

“No further questions.

“Ruudi, would you like to ask Mikkmar a few questions?”

Ruudi looks at Gabidou and notices a terrified look from him. He realizes that he doesn’t need to
ask him questions, but it looks like he is hiding something. With a bit of hesitation Ruudi answers, “No
your honor,” and Mikkmar walks off.

“The prosecution rest,” Zicit says, as he is a bit shocked that Ruudi didn’t ask Mikkmar any questions.

It’s not Ruudiluca’s turn to take the stand and only needs one witness to prove Gabidou’s
innocence and that would be Gabidou himself. He calls him to stand and while Gabidou was nervous, he
answered Ruudi’s questions.

“Alright Gabidou raise your right hand. Do you tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth,
so help you Greg?”

“Yea. So help me Greg.”

“Where were you on the night of Gardevoir’s murder?”

“At a smash tournament with Icebomb.”

“And why couldn’t Icebomb show up to the court today?”

“He is on vacation, I didn’t want to bother him.

“No further questions. Have at it Zicit!” Ruudi says with a smile as he walks away.

Zicit walks up to slam Gabidou with the questions, “So you weren’t there when Gardevoir was
murdered?”

“That is correct!

“You’re sick, you know that. You are under oath and you are lying to the court are you not?”

“Is that your opinion?

“Yes that is my opinion!” Zicit started to get frustrated with Gabidou.

“Well your opinion is wrong then.”

“Are you sure, because we both know how much you loved Gardevoir. We both also know one thing.”

“Do we now?”

“Yes,” Zicit pauses for a second, “We know she doesn’t love you and never will. So you killed her. You
killed her because if YOU can’t have her, then no one can. AM I CORRECT!”

Gabidou pauses for a second and begins to tear up. He begins to respond, “I did not kill her okay? I loved
her. Why would I kill the thing that I love the most? I know she didn’t love me now, but I could’ve
waited. I could wait till the end of time. Nobody will tell me differently. I did not kill her,” Gabidou
begins to cry, “I did not kill her, I did not kill her, I did….. (sobs) not…. kill….(sobs) her….”

“ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!” Mikkmar shouts from the crowd, “I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS! I DID IT!
I KILLED HER! STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS STUPID SHIT GABIDOU!”

The crowed gasps as Ruudi smiles in the courtroom.

“ORDER ORDER!” The judge yells out as the random chattering stops for a second.

“Why? WHY DID YOU DO IT YOU BASTARD!Gabidou belted out as his sadness turned into hateful
anger.

“Because, you’re obsessed,” explained Mikkmar, “You talk about her 24/7 so I killed her so that you
never have to talk to her again, and I don’t regret it either.”

“Looks like we have our culprit,” Ruudiluca said with a smirk. “Take him away!”

Officer Uzzbuzz walks towards Mikkmar to put him in cuffs. The judge stunned stops the court
and finds Gabidou innocent. Gabidou cries and hugs Ruudi thanking him for this case. Ruudi just pats
him on the back. Zicit, dumbfounded with what he just heard quietly packs up his stuff as this was a
great loss for him. Uzzbuzz takes Mikkmar away from the courtroom as that would be the last time
Gabidou sees the killer of the person he loved so, so much.

Ruudiluca smiles and heads home where he can unwind and watch movies with Ricenot for the
rest of the night until the next day. Gabidou starts working on planning the funeral for his lover to never
be now. Zicit, still stunned with the events looks back to see what in the hell has happened to watch this
case go really down south. As for Mikkmar he is going to prison. He is getting 25-Life for the murder of
Gardevoir. Officer Uzzbuzz takes him there and drops him off in his cell with a man waiting in the top
bunk. The man looking down at him for a split second sees on who he was. He just lays down on the top
bunk and smiles. He quietly whispers to himself as he saw who was in the same cell with him.

“It’s a wonderful world.”

The End!
