Trying to learn math takes a different form for every student. You are a snowflake, unique in your learning style, even from your siblings and your parents. You are going to figure out what works for you. There are some people that are perfectly fine learning in lectures because the guidance of a teacher is enough. One of the things that I hated about math tutoring as a kid was that it was so annoying to get to. I had to drive over to the library to meet my tutor or sometimes go out into the woods to where she lived. It was not a great way to do things because we were both wasting time traveling that could have been spent learning. If there is traffic, you are just getting frustrated in a situation where you probably just want to get to what you are being paid for. Instead of the frustration, going online can make it much easier. You can log on wherever there is a good enough connection, which is usually from the comfort of your own home. Depending on the video situation, you might even choose to learn without the constrictions of pants. Decency does not apply when there is nobody to be decent for.

Price

One of the other things that can be significantly better about online options is that the price is cheaper. This is usually indicative of a sharp drop in quality, but that is actually not necessarily the case here. Part of this is just the equations of the economy that are truths of life. There are more students available to you as a tutor, but also more tutors out there to choose from. That is going to create a different market for you. You can sometimes find top tutors for affordable rates online out of circumstance. It is like when you order an UberX and happen to have an Uber Black pick you up. Sometimes, you just get the benefits out of randomness.

Help With What You Need

There are some math tutors that pad sessions with examples because they are done with the lessons after a short time and need to justify the full hour. Online, you can put out what you need help with and get just what you need.
