Personality:
As Ryu: As the frontman for his band, Ryu is a reckoning force. Ryu is aggressive and brutal in both his vocal delivery and performance, known for employing the use of blood and other horroesque theatrics on stage. He loves to annoy his bandmates both backstage and on stage, much to the amusement of the band's fans. Security often has a hard time keeping Ryu from jumping into the audience near the end of shows, and it's a miracle he hasn't been torn apart by fangirls yet.
Keeps only a very cryptic twitter filled with tweets that contain only single words and garbled or very vague photos, no other social media. This has led to many fan theory threads trying to decrypt the meaning behind Ryu's posts. He'll never tell.
Gives blatantly absurd answers in interviews. Most notoriously, during band member introductions in a video interview he once introduced himself as Barack Obama, completely deadpan, causing the rest of the band to lose their cool and burst into a fit of giggles.
Despite being leader of the band, Reiji tends to do more of the talking the rare times they do give interviews. Ryu tends to give more answers in written interviews, but the line between fact and fiction is always hard to discern.
Writes most of the band's lyrics, which mostly consist of dark and edgy topics ranging from betrayal and abandonment from his own experiences to completely hedonistic songs about masturbation, sex, and drugs, and sometimes dipping into violent murder and other such topics for shock value. Actually named a song "F✕✕✕しろ (FUCK ME)". It's about exactly what you think it's about. Also wrote the song "私だけ物 (watashi dake mono / Only Mine)" about a bangya (female fan) stalking her honmei (favourite bandman) and murdering him so no one else could have him. Ryu loves to ramp up the theatrics during this song, spewing fake blood during the violent lyrics.
As Ryuusuke: In his private life, like many musicians, Ryuusuke is nothing like his stage persona. Despite his many piercings being offputting and scary to many at first glance, Ryuusuke is usually quite warm, personable, and friendly- loving to be the joker amongst his friends, especially while drunk or high. He can be a bit hot-headed at times, but cools off quickly and never stays angry at anything for very long. His fiery nature also feeds into his passions for his work and hobbies, ensuring that when he's working on something he gives it his all. However, Ryuusuke is also quite susceptible to boredom and hates to sit still for too long. He always has to be busy working on something, which is largely how his 'sidejob' started. Little did he know the kind of shit he'd be getting himself into eventually.
Interests/hobbies: Ryuusuke is a bit obsessed with horror (if that wasn't obvious from his band), has probably read way too much about serial killers, has a mild interest in fashion and photography, and enjoys bar/club hopping as well as karaoke if he ever has free time. (Speaking of karaoke, Reiji has a video on his phone from years past of a very very drunk Ryuusuke dancing and singing Morning Musume. Ryuusuke would definitely kill him if he ever leaked it..)
Sidejob:
In his free time, Ryuusuke spends his time making money by working freelance as an Information Hacker, selling hard to acquire information and documents to shady buyers. It didn't take long before the Yakuza started to take note and make use of his little side business. Most of his jobs come from the same Yakuza group that owns his band's record label. The rest come from businessmen and other shady non-affiliated individuals.
With such a unique visage, one might expect a hacker like Ryuusuke to be tracked and caught easily. However, Ryuusuke almost never meets his clients in person. Creating a secure connection to his client, Ryuusuke uses specialised programs to depict himself as a 3D model- some type of cute but creepy anime girl. An AI assisted robotic voice helps him hide his identity further. So far the only client he has met in person is the leader of the Yakuza group he's affiliated with.
None of Ryuusuke's friends or band-mates know about his 'side job'; they just think he's always been a computer nerd. His band-mates are vaguely aware that their label has ties to the Yakuza, as many do, but think nothing of it beyond that.
Ryuusuke has an older estranged sister, but both their parents died when he was a young kid. Ryuusuke lived with his aunt until she died when he was 18. Ryuusuke would love to have a pet, especially a cat, but he's always too busy or gone from home too long to dedicate care to one. He lives in a small apartment in Nagoya, but sometimes spends the night at Reiji's house.
