1. Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to DocuMind Assist (“the App”).

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App, including all related services, features, content, and functionality made available through it.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms;
  • You agree to comply with them;
  • You accept our Privacy Policy as part of this agreement.

If you do not agree with any portion of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the App.

2. About the Application

DocuMind Assist is a mobile application designed to provide document-related tools and supporting functionality, including scanning, importing, viewing, streaming, and other related services.

The App may evolve over time through updates, redesigns, feature expansions, or service modifications.

3. Definitions

For clarity throughout these Terms:

“App”

Refers to DocuMind Assist, including all software, updates, interfaces, features, and related components.

“User”

Means any individual who downloads, accesses, installs, or uses the App.

“Services”

Refers to all tools, features, technologies, premium functionality, streaming options, and capabilities available through the App.

“Data”

Means any information, content, files, diagnostics, settings, or technical materials processed through use of the App.

4. Eligibility and Age Requirements

The App is intended only for individuals who are at least four (4) years old.

If the laws in your jurisdiction require parental or guardian consent for minors using digital services, such consent must be obtained before the App is used.

By using the App, you confirm that you satisfy all legal eligibility requirements applicable in your country or region.

5. Permissions and Device Access

To provide certain functionality, the App may request specific permissions from your device.

5.1 Photo and Media Library Access

The App may request access to your photos, videos, and media files in order to:

  • Enable scanning functionality

Your media files remain stored locally on your device unless you intentionally choose to transmit or share them.

We do not automatically upload your personal media to our servers.

5.2 Local Network Access

The App may request access to your local Wi-Fi network solely for functionality involving compatible nearby devices.

  • Detecting smart TVs or display devices
  • Enabling casting functionality
  • Wireless streaming
  • Remote display communication

Without this permission, some features may not operate correctly.

6. License Grant

6.1 Limited License

Subject to compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and personal license to:

  • Download the App;
  • Install it on compatible devices you own or control;
  • Use it for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes.

This license does not provide ownership rights to the App or any related intellectual property.

6.2 Restrictions on Use

You agree that you will not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or inspect the App’s source code;
  • Copy, modify, adapt, reproduce, or create derivative works of the App;
  • Circumvent security or technical protections;
  • Remove copyright notices, trademarks, or proprietary labels;
  • Use the App in ways that violate laws or third-party rights;
  • Exploit the App commercially without written authorization;
  • Interfere with normal App operations or infrastructure.

Any unauthorized use immediately terminates the granted license.

7. User Conduct and Responsibilities

As a condition of using the App, you agree to use it responsibly and lawfully.

You must not:

  • Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code;
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or networks connected to the App;
  • Abuse, overload, or disrupt App infrastructure;
  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to interfere with Services;
  • Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities;
  • Violate intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

You remain fully responsible for all activity performed through your use of the App.

All transactions are securely processed through the Apple App Store or other authorized platform providers.

  • Payment credentials

9.2 Subscription Renewals

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the applicable renewal deadline established by the App Store.

You are responsible for:

  • Managing your subscriptions;

Subscription management must be handled through your App Store account settings.

9.3 Refund Policies

Refund eligibility and refund decisions are governed exclusively by the App Store provider’s policies.

We do not guarantee refunds outside the platform’s official procedures.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App remain owned by us and/or our licensors.

Protected materials include:

  • Software code

  • Logos and branding
  • Graphics and icons
  • Text and visual content
  • Features and architecture

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership rights to you beyond the limited license explicitly granted.

Unauthorized reproduction or redistribution is prohibited.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including:

  • Reliability

We do not guarantee that the App will always function without interruptions, defects, or errors.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages;
  • Incidental damages;
  • Consequential damages;
  • Loss of profits;
  • Loss of data;
  • Service interruptions;
  • Device malfunctions;
  • Unauthorized access or misuse.

Your use of the App is entirely at your own risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DocuMind Assist and its affiliates, licensors, partners, and service providers from any claims, liabilities, damages, expenses, or legal costs arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Misuse of the App;
  • Violation of laws or regulations;
  • Infringement of third-party rights;
  • Unauthorized activities performed through your use of the App.

16. Export Compliance

You agree not to use, export, or distribute the App in violation of applicable export control laws, sanctions, or international trade regulations.

You represent that you are not located in, or subject to restrictions involving, prohibited jurisdictions or sanctioned entities.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal disputes, claims, or proceedings related to the App or these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by the courts located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

By using the App, you consent to this jurisdiction and venue.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

The invalid provision shall be interpreted as closely as possible to its original intent under applicable law.

19. Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other rights.

Any waiver must be explicitly made in writing.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional policies referenced within the App, constitute the complete and exclusive agreement between you and us regarding use of the App.
