Logic Pro (MIDI Effect)
1. Create an Instrument track, insert a synth, or sample instrument for that track.
2. Insert Animation Station on the same track by clicking on the MIDI FX dropdown: MIDI FX>Audio Units>Sample Logic>Animation Station
3. Record enable the instrument track with Animation Station inserted and begin playing.
Ableton Live (Instrument Plug-In)
1. Insert a synth, or sample instrument into your Live Set.
2. Insert Animation Station from your Plug-Ins menu (VST3) as a new track in your Live Set. Note: You many have to activate your
VST3 plug-ins in Live’s preferences.
3. On your synth track, assign the MIDI From Input Type to Animation Station then the Input Channel to Animation Station.
4. Set the synth track to monitor input via the Monitor section. It will turn light blue.
5. Record Enable the Animation Station track and begin playing.
Bitwig Studio (Instrument Plug-In)
1. Create an Instrument track. You can do this multiple ways. One way is to drag Animation Station from the Browser —> Device
panel on the right side of Bitwig.
2. Insert a synth, or sample instrument into the same instrument track to the right of Animation Station (second device in the chain).
You can use the plus symbol to the right of Animation Station in the chain, or drag in from the Device panel.
3. Record Enable the Animation Station track and begin playing.
Cubase (Instrument Plug-In)
1. Add an Instrument track and insert Animation Station into it.
2. Add another Instrument track and insert a synth, or sample instrument.
3. On the synth track, set the MIDI Input to the MIDI output of the Animation Station track.
4. Record enable the Animation Station track and begin playing.
Digital Performer (Instrument Plug-In)
1. Add a MIDI track and an Instrument track then choose Sample Logic —>Animation Station Stereo from the menu. You can also do
this with the add a track with options feature.
2. Add another MIDI track and an Instrument track then choose a synth, or sample instrument.
3. Enable Multi Record from the Studio menu.
4. Assign MIDI input on your synth track to Animation Station.
5. Record Enable both the Animation Station track and the synth track and begin playing.
Note: When recording MIDI, you will see MIDI recorded on both tracks. You will not need both sets of MIDI events, so we recommend deleting the MIDI that records on the synth track, although you can use the MIDI with either track, just not both at the same time.
FL Studio (Instrument Plug-In)
1. From the Plugin database, insert Animation Station from Installed Generators into your Channel rack on track 1.
2. From the Plugin database, insert a synth, or sample instrument from Installed Generators into your Channel rack on track 2.
3. Open the settings view for both plug-ins and set Animation Station to MIDI output port 2 and your synth to MIDI input port 2.
4. Click on the Animation Station label in your Channel rack and begin playing.
Pro Tools (Instrument Plug-In)
1. Create 2 new stereo Instrument Tracks.
2. On the first track, insert Animation Station from the multichannel plug-in menu under Instrument.
3. On the second track, insert a synth, or sample instrument.
4. On your synth track, assign the MIDI Input selector to Animation Station (all channels).
5. Record Enable the Animation Station track and your synth track. Hold the shift key when clicking the record buttons.
6. Begin playing.

1. From the main menu, choose “Insert virtual instrument on new track” and choose Animation Station from Instruments.
2. From the main menu, choose “Insert virtual instrument on new track” and choose a synth, or sample instrument fromInstruments.
3. From the Docker view, click the Route button on your Animation Station track and click the “add new send” dropdown then select
your synth track from the list.
4. Record Enable the Animation Station track and begin playing
Studio One (Instrument Plug-In)
1. From the Browser, go to the Instruments tab and locate the Sample Logic folder. From that folder, drag Animation Station from the
Instrument browser and drop it into the track list on the left of your song.
2. From the same Browser, choose a synth, or sample instrument from the Instrument browser.
3. Set the Direct Input of the synth instrument to Animation Station.
4. Record Enable and activate Monitor on the Animation Station track and begin playing.
Waveform (Instrument Plug-In)
1. Insert Animation Station on a track using the Plugin generator tool, or right-click in the plugin area.
2. Insert a synth, or sample instrument on another track using the Plugin generator tool, or right-click in the plugin area.
3. On the synth track, click on the input area under the track label and navigate to “Route MIDI from track” then select the Animation
Station track (track 1 in our example).
4. Begin playing.
