Care Support Matching

Carer-to-client matching is critical to provide empathetic, person-centric care and maximize caregiver satisfaction. However, it is a difficult process and requires good disability care services Mernda software tools. Carers should be fully informed about the person they are matched with. They should also be involved in the preparation of a plan and agreement. They should receive full training to support them in meeting the needs of their clients.

Using smart carer matching technology can help improve the quality of service, client and caregiver satisfaction, and meet CQC requirements. It can also help to ensure optimal matches based on carer skills, preferences, and continuity. It can also block incompatible caregivers and clients from being matched. This will help to improve care consistency and meet the needs of people with complex care needs.

Community Participation

Community participation refers to a broad range of activities that can be integrated or otherwise support a person’s community involvement and membership. This can include leisure/recreation, home maintenance, a hobby or cultural interest, or socialisation and interaction with others. It should result in a range of valued social roles and relationships, building natural supports, enabling self-determination and independence, and a sense of inclusion.

Services will be delivered at a 517-square-metre Community Participation Centre, designed and built in accordance with Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Australia Dementia Friendly guidelines. The Centre has three activity rooms, kitchen and consulting room and has a number of sustainable features including solar panels, double-glazed windows, gas-free appliances and a Changing Places toilet.

Services are available to students who disclose their disability to the Disability Support Services office. While DSS may review providers’ recommendations for accommodation, the final decision for a specific disability accommodation is made through an interactive process with the student and in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act and its amendments, and higher education accessibility laws.
