Introduction
The Organizing Committee of the 17th Global Digital Pharma, Clinical Trials & Drug Delivery Conference is honored to welcome Prof. Dr. Palwasha Abbasi as one of our distinguished speakers.
Dr. Abbasi will be presenting her insightful research titled “Aim of this Study Was to Compare Blood Glucose Lowering Effect of Catharanthus roseus and Nigella sativa in Alloxan-Induced Diabetic Rats.” Her study offers a comparative analysis of two potent medicinal plants known for their therapeutic potential in managing diabetes. By scientifically validating the pharmacological efficacy of Catharanthus roseus and Nigella sativa, Dr. Abbasi’s work represents a significant step forward in integrating traditional herbal medicine with modern pharmacological science.
Prof. Dr. Palwasha Abbasi is a highly accomplished Professor of Pharmacology at SRMC Institute, Pakistan, with more than a decade of experience in academia and pharmaceutical research. She holds an M.Phil. in Pharmacology and has been actively involved in drug development, generic formulation design, and bioequivalence studies aimed at ensuring the production of safe and effective medicines.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Abbasi has authored and co-authored over twenty peer-reviewed research publications, covering diverse areas such as:
- Pharmacological evaluation of herbal and synthetic compounds
- Management of diabetes and chronic kidney disease
- Development of antimicrobial agents, including silver nanoparticles
- Comparative studies on musculoskeletal and renal disorders
- Public health challenges, particularly vaccine hesitancy
Her current research interests also include the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in drug discovery, specifically in predictive modeling and formulation recommendation systems that optimize R&D efficiency and reduce the need for repeated trials.
