PolyFluoroEthelene was developed by

DuPont and 3M during WWII.

The original polymerizing chemical

was called C8. It is a water-soluble

fully Fluoridated carbon chain acid.

Chemical plant wastewater dumps

have put these chemicals everywhere.

Even in Tibet and Antarctica.

It falls in rainwater...

C8 has been largely discontinued...

The new version, C6, does the same thing.

There are 14,000 similar chemicals.

100% of U.S. blood tested for PFAS chemicals shows a level of 5 parts per Billion.

PFAS chemicals cause Liver, Testicular, and Pancreatic Cancers, and Kidney Failure.

Firefighters have high levels, due to PFAS

chemicals in Firefighting foam.

Firefighters have reduced their blood levels

by 30% by donating blood.

Reverse Osmosis filters will remove

PFAS from drinking water.

It's a Global Problem.

The C6 chemical is called GenX.

"GenX" can refer to both a demographic cohort and a chemical compound. Demographically, it refers to Generation X, a cohort of people born between 1965 and 1980. Chemically, "GenX" is a specific type of man-made chemical, a per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS), used in various products and processes.

Generation X (Demographically):

Birth Years: Typically defined as individuals born between 1965 and 1980.

Characteristics: Often described as independent, pragmatic, and adaptable, often sitting between the Baby Boomers and Millennials.

Culture: Known for their influence on music, art, and media, and their contributions to zine culture and other cultural trends.

GenX (Chemically):

PFAS: GenX is one specific member of the broader category of PFAS chemicals.

Uses: Used in various commercial and consumer products, such as food packaging, water- and stain-repellent fabrics, nonstick products, and firefighting foams.

Concerns: There are increasing concerns about the potential carcinogenic effects of GenX, as well as other health impacts, such as effects on the liver, kidneys, and immune system. {GoogAI Overview}
