Insincerity is a partial or complete silence and concealment of the truth.
Cunning is a combination of deception, insincerity and lies.
A lie is a partial or complete dening Liesal and destruction of the truth.
Insincerity, Cunning and Lies are the group of techniques that the Ego uses most often. Their role is multifaceted, and their application is daily. We use them to protect ourselves. To avoid punishment. To achieve self-interest. To establish and maintain power over someone. And in any other case.
The whole Egoland is permeated with Insincerity, Cunning and Lies. From a seven-year-old child to a white-haired old man, including prominent businessmen, in varying degrees and varieties, depending on their goals and purposes, all together contribute to this universal scourge of human society. And this is unchangeable. No social system, movement, belief or who knows what else will be able to wean humanity from their use.
Why?
Imagine that you are a person with an IQ of 148 points.
This (unlike us with 100 points) is a fairly high level of intelligence that allows you to successfully and on time graduate on university, immediately find a job and very quickly become noticeable and respected in your profession. And imagine that for the sake of a personal experiment you have made a firm decision never to be insincere, not to cunning, not to lie.
How would this affect your future life?
Previously respected, visible, professional and promising, you would suddenly begin to slide down the social ladder. Business partners and colleagues would avoid you, your friends would become bored with you, your girlfriend would leave you, your family would wonder if you were normal, and soon you would find yourself at the very bottom of society.
You are lazy.
Deprived of abilities.
Stupid. Probably even slightly mentally retarded.
Your friends and acquaintances of yesterday would pass by you, shaking their heads, asking themselves what was happening to you.
And really, what's happening to you?
In a world based on talk of Respect, Honor, Truth, Honesty, Justice, you should be at the top, not at the bottom of society, shouldn't you?!
Every human being is given the gift of Love, Truth and Freedom at birth. They are the core of your being, its foundation, the walls, windows, doors, shelter and everything else that makes up the home of your Soul. Their presence allows you to rejoice and enjoy each passing day, whatever it may be. It is not the events that determine its value, but the pure joy that emanates from within you.
Unfortunately, this does not last long.
Although society has protected you from reality for a while, that ends with the end of adolescence. As you delve into life, you will encounter customs checkpoints, and these are not just ordinary obstacles, but a kind of test that will show whether you accept adulthood. Whether you are ready.
Then, suddenly or gradually, you understand its price: you must renounce Love, Truth and Freedom. You must hide and cast them aside, or else the gates of Egoland will remain forever closed to you.
Alone and at the bottom?!
This is unacceptable, you deserve better.
And with more or less regret you will partially or completely discard Love, Truth and Freedom. But you don't care, that's for teenagers, and you are an adult now. Because of this you will be accepted by society, frankly, at first with some suspicion, as if they are not quite sure whether you have understood the rules of adult society.
Yes, you understand.
Never tell the truth.
Never show that you are too happy.
Be humble and full of respect towards those who are stronger than you.
Don't show that you're too smart.
Money buys everything.
Power is the main thing.
And you were right.
Sliding between the rules of life like a slalom master, you will quickly achieve the first results. You will achieve success and attract attention. You are offered nepotism. Interest. Sex. Cooperation. Membership in a VIP club. Marriage. And everything else that can be found on the market of life.
You will once again congratulate yourself on the right choice. It turns out that neither love, nor truth, nor freedom have almost no value in the world. And you do not feel that you lack them. You have truly become convinced that Insincerity, Cunning and Lies are not as bad as you once naively thought. If they were, they would not be used.
And as on the calendar, earthly days slowly flow by.
To be honest, sometimes there will be short bad periods, but basically, when you look at others, you will be happy with your life and what you have achieved. Whatever you sacrificed, it was worth it.
Only... only sometimes your thoughts fly away to the times when you had nothing but Love, Truth and Freedom. To the times when you were truly happy.
