There are three different ways to hack a person:
1. Social Engineering (Spear Phishing):
This method involves analyzing the personal habits of a person to create a fake web page or scenario that tricks them into revealing their credentials. For example, if someone recently attended a wedding, you could craft a fake email claiming to have photos from the event. The email would direct them to a fake login page where they are prompted to enter their credentials.
2. Information Leaks:
A person's password may be exposed through an information leak. Hackers can download leaked databases containing passwords (which, if hashed, can be decoded using techniques like a rainbow table). To check if someone’s data has been compromised, you can use websites like "Have I Been Pwned" by entering their email address.
3. Finding Vulnerabilities:
This involves identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in systems or software that the person uses. By discovering security flaws, an attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information or systems.
