Frankly, without it, your position in society, even your whole life, will change radically and, although significant from a developmental point of view, in life these changes will cause you a lot of inconvenience and problems.
Living in a world where interpersonal relationships are based on power and at the same time rejecting it, is like having a note on your back that says “Hit me.” Many, many of them will be in the mood to hit you and perhaps hurt you seriously. This will confirm and strengthen their own Power, but it will also transmit to you the pain of some of the violence and humiliation they themselves have suffered.
That is why, when it comes to Power, when you start rejecting it, separating from it, remember that you will also have to go through some bitter moments, because of it. But in a way, that is part of separating from Power: to find yourself in a situation where normally you would spontaneously reach for it to protect yourself, but not now, not now, when you are in the process of renouncing it. It will not happen on a conscious level, but it will happen as a result of a process of spiritual development, something that has deeper roots than your “I will”, which may surprise you, because the situation in which you will necessarily “teach someone culture”, now will flow around you like a silent movie, it will not affect you emotionally, so you will not even feel the need to use force.
The overcome of Power, however modest, does not happen overnight and will not be clearly visible to your consciousness, from reasons the process is played out on an emotional level. But the results of this process will affect you, because by renouncing Power you will have taken a big step towards peace. Without this, it is very difficult to succeed in meditation.
Power and Mighty Ones
What to do with them and how to help the Mighty Ones of the world who are not interested in spiritual development?
The solution is simpler than it seems: confront them with the deeds of their Power. Confront them with what their Power has done. Publicly name them for the evil they have done. Let them understand - not only they, but everyone else, what they do to you and your life. If you do not do this, but still consider Power to be a form of social order for your species, you will not be able to move on, you will remain stuck at the emotional level of Power, haunted by wars, hatred, genocides, racism, religious fanaticism... that have poisoned your consciousness for too long.
