and know the importance of
Thorough preparation of farmland
before it can be planted and harvested.
Data Center Think Tanks are not
Farmers.
They know other things:
Plant Size estimation...
Equipment needed by contractors
to build a site...
How many temporary workers
are needed...
How many permanent workers
to staff a site...
Location...
Land Costs...
Highway Access...
Rail Access...
Power Costs and Access...
Water Access.
Internet Access...
The Data Center planners
look to where all these resources
come together...
And they say:
AHA !!!
Small town FARMLAND !!!!!
You can't blame them.
They are looking to
minimize costs
and Time required for Completion.
It's like owning an unfed
German Shepherd,
and leaving an
unattended Thanksgiving Turkey
on the dining room table.
So:
For Farm Towns to survive,
and to continue to have
Local workable Farmland...
The States must provide
OFFRAMPS.
ALL OF THE CONNECTIVITY
and RESOURCES
pointing 20 miles out of town,
to less desirable land.
Once the highways and rails
and transmission towers
to "NOWHERE" are built...
The Data Center Planners
will have a new bag
of Gravy Train.
