Direct Experience is a direct and true knowledge of the nature and mode of action of a phenomenon, thing or person. It is not unambiguous in itself, which means that it is not self-sufficient, but is reflected in everything it comes into contact with. That is why direct experience is very important for spiritual development, because it is a kind of ladder, where each subsequent direct experience takes you one step higher. This, of course, does not last forever, because at some point direct experience develops into Enlightenment.
Enlightenment could be defined as "Direct experience of everything that exists in the Universe" . That is why it is important, because it represents the path to Enlightenment.
For some, it may be a kind of mystery, but only because the Ego does not allow them to letting go to it, because without letting go, there is no Direct Experience. So whenever you ask yourself if you are still on the spiritual path, just allow yourself to letting go, and the answer will come to you on its own.
Everything that surrounds us, visible and invisible, contains a message addressed to us, to each of us individually, but also to humanity as a whole. The message is simple: "Love yourself and you will love others".
Without this, without the feeling of love for yourself, you will not be able to love others either, because you are always the most important thing for yourself first, and only then will everyone else come. And the feeling of love for yourself will appear spontaneously in the process of cleansing from stress, pain and trauma accumulated during growing up. When they disappear, your spiritual nature, full of Love and Goodness, will manifest, but this is not a quick process, because in spirituality there is nothing sharp, fast and intrusive, not to say aggressive. It is the manifestation of the deeper contents of your being, which were suppressed by stress, pain and trauma.
Direct Experience as a means of spiritual development will help you to feel and accept these deeper parts of your being. Yes, you are a multidimensional being: the Physical, Emotional and Mental Planes are just the grosser levels on which you manifest yourself, and as you progress in Remembrance, you will begin to consciously operate on the Higher Planes. This will be a great step in your development, but also a great step forward for humanity, because as one individual awakens, the entire human species progresses.
