Malawian Winger Francisco Madinga Joins Zambian Side Kansanshi Dynamos

Zambia’s MTN Super League outfit Kansanshi Dynamos have confirmed the signing of Malawian winger Francisco Madinga on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old has penned a two-year contract with Kansanshi Dynamos, with the club highlighting his versatility as both a winger and supporting striker. “Madinga is set to add depth and firepower to our 2025/26 MTN Super League campaign,” the club announced in its statement.

Madinga arrives in Zambia after leaving Malawian giants Mighty Wanderers, where he declined a contract extension beyond August 6, 2025. His career path has taken him across multiple leagues, including a three-year stint with FC Dila Gori in Georgia, where he made 60 appearances and scored six goals.

The attacking midfielder also featured briefly for Jwaneng Galaxy FC in Botswana before rejoining Wanderers two seasons ago.

On the international stage, Madinga represented Malawi at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. While his national team involvement has been inconsistent, he remains a valuable squad option for the Flames.

In Zambia, he will find familiar faces, with compatriots Chimwemwe Idana, Chawanangwa Kaonga, Robert Saizi (ZANACO FC), and Chifundo Mphasi (Power Dynamos FC) also active in the league.

With his arrival, Kansanshi Dynamos have secured a player with both international experience and regional familiarity, strengthening their ambitions for the upcoming campaign.
