Okay, so two people read 1+2. I'm still working on the prologue. Anyways, here's 3+4. I know I didn't get the words right for the Cloudpaw part, but I believe it's mostly accurate? Question mark? Crystalshine out! Also, here's the link for Chapters 1+2 in case you didn't read it. https://justpaste.it/ftl8d
Chapter 3: Cloudkit
When Ashkit awoke that day, He was quite sure that I was still dreaming. A cloudy poof of white was in Fireheart's mouth. A fluffy poof of white. Did Fireheart go into the sky and get them some clouds? After what he and Graystripe did at the battle, he wouldn't be surprised.
"Brindleface, I heard that you lost two kits." Fireheart mewed. Ashkit starred in contempt at the orange warrior. No one, least of all a literal cloud, was going to replace Tulipkit and Elderkit.
Ashkit realized that the bundle of floof had four legs, a tail, and two sky blue eyes that started so innocently at them. "He has no idea." Ashkit thought. What could some cloud do to replace Tulipkit and Elderkit. He remembered Tulipkit's soft, disappointed sigh, a sigh that wished her brothers would stop being stupid. Elderkit would then tackle her, and then Ashkit and Fernkit would jump in.
Frostfur came up. "Brindleface, I know that Cloudkit won't ever replace Tulipkit and Elderkit. But he needs a mother, and you are one." she mewed solemnly. Brindleface paused.
Ashkit pawed her impatiently. Why wouldn't she say no? All this bundle of clouds would ever do would be to remind them of what they had lost.
Brindleface replied by nuzzling her two remaining kits affectionately, then finally nodded. "I'll take them." she agreed finally.
Fireheart dropped the bundle of clouds next to Brindleface. Those sky blue eyes blinked at Ashkit in a friendly way. Ashkit turned away from the kit.
"My sister Princess gave him to me." explained Fireheart. Hold on a second. This cat-shaped pile of floof was a kittypet? Ashkit stared in disgust.
"Hello Ashkit!" the kittypet mewed excitedly. Ashkit was not amused. He sighed and went to play with Fernkit, all the while watching Cloudkit's movements.
…
"I take back everything I've ever said about Cloudkit." mewed Ashkit to Fernkit. Fernkit flicked her ears up in surprise. Ashkit purred in amusement as he saw Cloudkit rolling around out of the corner of his eye.
"Why?" Fernkit asked. Ashkit purred.
"Cloudkit is everything Elderkit is. Skeptical, annoying, playful, energetic, occasionally codebreaking, multiplied by infinity." he explained.
Fernkit purred in amusement, and padded off to play. Ashkit walked off to the warrior's den to find Whitestorm, who sometimes taught him basic warrior things.
"Hello Ashkit!" Whitestorm mewed cheerfully, "You see that mouse?" he asked. He gestured with his tail to a large mouse that was nibbling on a beech nut. He crept down low and sank his teeth into the mouse just as it finished the beech nut.
"Wow!" Ashkit exclaimed. Whitestorm purred.
"You'll going to need that soon. Don't forget exactly how old you are!" Whitestorm mewed mysteriously.
The apprentice ceremony was tomorrow.
Chapter 4: Apprentices
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!' Bluestar yowled from the Highrock. The three kits jumped out of their dens and sped off as fast as their tiny legs could let them to the clearing.
"Ashkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Ashpaw. Your mentor will be Dustpelt." Bluestar announced.
"Dustpelt, you have been trained well by Darkstripe and Redtail. I hope you pass all you know onto Ashpaw." Bluestar continued.
Ashpaw suddenly realized that he was an apprentice now! "Fernkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Fernpaw. Your mentor will be Darkstripe." Bluestar announced.
"Darkstripe, you have been trained well by Tigerclaw. I hope you pass all you know onto Fernpaw." Bluestar continued. Fernpaw's eyes flashed with excitement.
"Cloudkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Cloudpaw. Your mentor will be Fireheart." Bluestar announced.
"Fireheart, I have trained you well, and I hope you pass all you know onto Cloudpaw." Bluestar finished. The three new apprentices bounced with excitement.
"Darkstripe, you want to train our apprentices together?" asked Dustpelt, eyes landing on Fernpaw. Darkstripe dipped his head in agreement.
"Hello Fernpaw!" mewed Dustpelt excitedly, completely ignoring his apprentice. Ashpaw stared in confusion. Wasn't Dustpelt HIS mentor?
"Let's go, Ashpaw. Dustpelt and Fernpaw are like…" Darkstripe explained. Ashpaw padded along with his new mentor. Darkstripe was going to be the best!
"You know Fireheart and Cloudpaw? They're kittypets. Cloudpaw still has hope, he was born and immediately given to the Clans, but Fireheart is still a kittypet at heart." explained Darkstripe. Ashpaw purred. Darkstripe was a great mentor.
He wished that Cloudpaw wouldn't have such a terrible mentor like Fireheart. But that Graystripe was worse, running around like he ran the place when in reality he was just a young warrior. Graystripe was so, so annoying.
"Now let's go on a tour of the territory!" announced Dustpelt, brushing Fernpaw affectionately with the tip of his tail. Ashpaw and Darkstripe padded after the two.
Once they got to Sunningrocks, Darkstriped explained, "Those Riverclan fishbrains think that they own Sunningrocks, but actually Thunderclan owns it. Those fishbrains just use it to lie on. We actually use it. Now, you see that vole?"
Ashpaw creeped off, following the vole by keeping his weight in his haunches the way Whitestorm had showed him. The mouse ran off.
"Bad luck." Darkstripe mewed. Just then, Fireheart and Cloudpaw ran by, chasing a squirrel. Fireheart leaped but missed the squirrel by hairs.
Darkstripe sighed dramatically. "Useless kitty warriors." he muttered under his breath. Ashpaw hoped that Cloudpaw would reject his kittypet roots.
