PSL 2025: Pakistan fast bowler Ihsanullah has been in the headlines for the past few days after being overlooked for the upcoming Pakistan Super League 2025 (PSL 2025). Ihsanullah was not picked by any franchise, not even his former team, Multan Sultans, at the recent PSL Player Draft 2025.

Following his exclusion, the Pakistani pacer could not contain his emotions and expressed his outburst during the live interview, where he slammed the Multan Sultans owner, Ali Tareen, for not supporting him and said that he will never play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

However, days after the PSL Draft 2025, Ihsanullah took a surprising U-turn as he started singing praise for the Multan Sultans owner after being offered a much-needed opportunity by the franchise. The right-arm pacer will represent JDW in the upcoming President's Cup Grade Two tournament.

Ihsanullah’s emotional outburst turns to gratefulness as Multan Sultans offer opportunity

On Wednesday, January 15, Ali Tareen reached out to Ihsanullah and offered him this opportunity. The Multan Sultans have shown unwavering support to the talented bowler by allowing him to play for their departmental team JDW in the President's Cup Grade Two tournament in April-May.

With this collaboration, the Pakistani bowler would be able to use Multan Sultans’ state-of-the-art facilities, helping him regain his fitness and form ahead of the domestic tournament in order to bring him back for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Under the expert guidance of fast bowling coach Catherine Dalton, Ihsanullah will train at the Multan Sultans Academy in Lodhran. After getting extended support from the PSL franchise, the pace bowler expressed his gratitude to the owner, Ali Tareen, and the team.

The pacer was quoted as saying by Geo Super TV: “Multan Sultans have always supported me, and I am grateful for their continuous backing.”

My statement was influenced by emotions: Ihsanullah on his PSL retirement

On the other hand, the Pakistani pacer reversed his retirement decision from the Pakistan Super League within 24 hours, saying he made that statement out of emotions.

He stated, “It’s just that you know the franchises did not pick me, and I was irked by masses and my family, so that’s why I made the decision emotionally. I would not make that decision again.
