"This year, focusing on breaking ball practice, it's going smoothly"

Yang started the practice game against Lotte at Kushikawa Stadium in Okinawa, Japan on the 3rd and pitched two innings.   안전놀이터

Yang Hyun-jong, who has never played in a real game, including his own practice game that began at Canberra Spring Camp in Australia, started his first real game two days before the end of the second camp.

He pitched perfectly for two innings with no hits, no outs, and no strikeouts. He threw 16 fastballs, curves, sliders and changeups, and posted a maximum speed of 143 kilometers.

"It's going smoothly. I'm doing well in exhibition games, and I'm throwing three to four innings each to meet the season. I threw for the first time since the end of the season, and I tried to throw curveballs since there are some changes (such as ABS) this year. I think half of them are successful. I need to increase the curveball ratio in the future, so I'm going to throw a lot in practice and exhibition games as well," Yang said.

Yang pitched an additional bullpen session to match the number of pitches after finishing the game because the number of pitches he pitched within the scheduled inning was too small. He seemed to throw a lot of breaking balls.

"I practiced a lot of curves, sliders, and breaking balls. When I was on the mound, I had to practice what I lacked or what I wasn't sophisticated enough. I thought I would get better with fastballs in the season, so I threw a lot of balls to learn the way I was going to hit breaking balls and how I felt," Yang said
