Gerda is frantic “Nicky! Ni-“ A crackle of energy tears by her, and the door of the airship blows off it’s hinges as a bolt of yellow light streaks down.
Jahi frowns in anger. “hold-“
Cezar rises up, crackling with energy, nicky floating next to him in a bubble of yellow light. He deposits her into the doorway of the ship.
Jahi’s eyes flash with anger “I didn’t want to believe it.” She flares with blue energy “You chose a human over me~!” Tears stream down her face “Just like that other one.” She grimaces, an ugly look. “Cynthia.”
Cezar looks stoic. “Gerda is my friend Jahi. And her friends are my friends as well.”
Jahi tears towards him “THEN YOU ARE MY ENEMY!!”
Jahi slams into Cezar, in a clash of light and energy
Cezar grips her hand in his, his other hand holding her back with energy
Jahi is shaking, and upset her face inches from his “JUST… why? Why Cezar? ”
Cezar’s face crinkles in unhappiness “Jahi, I don’t want to do this…but I…” His eyes sparkle a bit with yellow light, but then he grimaces and focuses again
“But I WILL protect Gerda!!” He heaves, and sends her flying back from him.
He then brings both arms back, and hammers them down.
A blob of yellow force smashes into Jahi, sending her flying back.
Cyborg 2 appears under her, and catches her out of the air.
Cyborg 1 appears next to cezar, and he looks up
“What are you?”
The cyborg blasts cezar, but he’s dodged to the side.
His face grows cold, “You’re not a demon. You’re something false.”
He heaves out from behind the cyborg, jutting his hand out towards the cyborgs back. A blast of energy crackling down into the cyborgs shell. it slams into the cyborg in a burst of light and smoke.
The cyborg tears out of the smoke and energy, unharmed, and backhands cezar, sending him tumbling through the air.
Cezar snaps back, froth coming from his mouth “PROTECT!!”
He blasts towards the cyborg, slamming into the eye. He starts to hammer away at it, “GERDAA!”
The cyborg Blasts out a beam directly into Cezar, stripping away most of his robes, and leaving him steaming.
But he’s in a battle rage now, and he continues to hammer away at the cyborgs eye, the cracks growing bigger and deeper.
Cezar screams, and pulling both hands back, he brings the full force of his power down on the eye, punching through deep into
the cyborgs eye, and sending it hurtling away from him.
He stands there panting, steam rising from his body, eyes wide
Scrambles bobs up next to him “Woah. that was impressive.”
Cezar whirls on him, a snarl on his lips, and grabs scrambles by the throat
scrambles grabs cezars arms, wincing at the pain “This- isn’t like you…”
Cezar snarls, narrowing his eyes, choking harder
Scramble’s eyes narrow. “this isn’t -you!”
He brings up his two other hands “GREATER- D-DISPEL!”
He pushes his hands forwards and there’s a clap of light and sound
Cezar stumbles back, hand over his eyes “Wha- what”
Scrambles beams at him “Hey buddy.”
Cezar opens his eyes wide, and then smiles widely “Scrambles! AH!!” He gives him a big hug
Then his face gets serious, and it gets mad “They used me.”
He turns back towards the ship, a new flare of magic flowing around him. “They USED ME!”
Scrambles smiles cooly “well, let’s show them how bad an idea that was, hm?”
Gerda is still in the window, looking out, cezar a star of light in the sky .”ahh damn.”
A voice crackles over the ships loudspeakers “WELL IT SEEMS YOUR DEMON BUDDY BETRAYED US EH?”
Nina is in the cockpit, wired up. She’s grinning, somewhat evilly “I wasn’t going to let demon scum live either way.”
Her face creases into pure anger “But this does make it a lot easier!”
The side of the ship opens up, and a series of cannons extend out from it.
Scrambles eyes go wide “ wait- what kind of airship is this exactly?”
Cezar frowns as well “A monster slaying one.”
The ship opens fire, lighting up the sky with a barrage of missiles, bolts of energy, and railgun fire
Cezar shields Scrambles, and cyborg 2 shields jahi
Scrambles eyes are wide “WE HAVE TO DIVE!”
Cezar looks pained “But-“
Scrambles grabs him “HIDE US IN THE CLOUD COVER!”
Th demons dive down out of the range of the ship as it continues to unleash onto them.
Nina grins in her cockpit “demons think they’re soo clever”
The bottom of the ship opens up, and a massive sphere bomb thing drops out
Then flares up and streaks towards where the demons were.
Nina’s mouth curls into a little circle “Boom”
A MASSIVE explosion rips apart the clouds, wiping away the cover, and sending the demons hurtling out of it
Gerda and the others appears next to Nina “What’s going on out there? We still need cezar to find out where kay is~!”
Nina glares up at her “You really think a demon is going to help YOU?”
She grabs gerda by the shirt, pulling her face close “I swore I would find and kill every demon I could. EVERY. ONE.”
Nina turns back to the controls “We can find your friend on our own. Our ship has been tracking the path, and we can follow that.”
Nina grins down at the falling demons “Now to crush some-“
The snow queen’s face appears in the sky, massive, crackling with energy
“LEAVE THIS PLACE.”
Gerda’s eyes go wide “Is- is that the snow queen??”
Beckett turns to her eyes wide “Wait… the snow queen took your friend??”
“ LEAVE THIS PLACE OR BE DESTROYED”
Gerda’s face turns hard “It is. We’re so close!”
Nina tsks scanning for the demons “Shoot, where did they go-?”
the snow queen’s face grows angry
“FINAL WARNING”
Sweat appears on the crows brow “Um. guys. Maybe we should pay attention to the giant head”
Nina’s eyes flash to the monitors as they all start beeping “Wha- that’s very strange-”
Her eyes go wide “That much energy-!”
A massive beam of energy arcs up from the ground, slicing through the back of the airship, and smashing through the balloon.
Everybody is thrown around the cabin except for nina “DAMMNIT!!”
Nina reaches over at the airship plummets towards the ground “DISENGAGE!!”
She smashes a red button behind glass, and the skull portion of the ship ejects off the main body, it’s collar unfurling into legs
“BRACE YOURSELVES!!”
The skull fires multiple thrusters underneath it as the ground comes looming up.
The skull hits the ground in a massive plume of ice, snow, and steam.
The airship pieces come crashing down around it, fire and wreckage filling the sky.
The snow queen and kay sit looking at the monitors
The snow queen is smiling a bit sadly.
“I believe we succeeded in stopping them from finding our exact location.”
She looks concerned “Still, they know approximately where we are, more will come.”
She motions to Kay. “Come Kay, the infinity engine is operational. We can use it to leave this place.”
Kay is looking at the monitors “Teacher… “ The snow queen turns to look, and frowns. “No-“
The screen shows the skull blasting across the ground, snow rising around it.
Nina is leaning over the controls “I’ll teach you to destroy my family’s AWESOME SHIP!!”
Gerda is straining, but smiling “You know where those blasts came from?”
Nina grins up at her “The ship is locked on! We’ll be there-“
She peers ahead “What is-“
Ahead of them the snow erupts into four huge columns.
The four Defenders from the queens dining room emerge, shaking off the snow
Nina winces “Oh geez.”
nicky Is shaky, but awake now. “How much firepower do you have on this thing?”
Nina frowns “ A bit, but if those things are as tough as they look…”
Nicky smiles “Let me out.” Gerda turns to her “Nicky, you’re in no shape-“
Nicky smiles wider “I have a present from the Queen.”
The skull comes to a screeching halt, as the Defenders tromp towards them.
Nicky leans out of the door on the side “Let’s make this fight a little more”
she digs into the small bag at her side, pulling out a runic ring. “Unfair”
She tosses it down at the ground, and a beam of light lances up, then turns opening into a large disc.
Beckett’s eyes go wide “A… gate??”
Nicky smiles, sweat on her brow “A gate.”
Firepower pours through the gate at the Defenders, slamming one of them backwards, and making the others raise their hands in defense.
City Guard wizards stream through the gate, The Queen among them. She looks around and smiles ruefully at Nicky.
“Looks like you weren’t able to stop them from coming to the snow queen’s lands after all.”
Nicky looks pained “We’re in the heart of them now actually.”
The queen motions to the gate “Well, if we hurry we can all get back to the city before-“
Gerda snarls “NO! I’m so close!!”
She motions to the holes behind the defenders “There! I bet she’s in there!”
The queen frowns, More of her guards streaming out of the gate “Well, we do seem to be holding our own against these things, maybe-“
The face of the snow queen appears above the fighters “You have come to my domain against my wishes.”
“You all must die.”
Dozens of plumes erupt out of the ground, More defenders emerging out of the snow.
The queen’s face turns pained “oh boy.”
Scrambles, cezar, and jahi, along with cyborg #2 float off in the distance, watching the giant head, and the fight.
Scrambles cocks his head to one side “Well, I guess we found where the boy and shards are being kept.”
He raises an eyebrow “Not sure what we’re supposed to do now though.”
Cezar is pleading with jahi “Jahi- that wasn’t me! I’m sorry! really!!”
Jahi is sullen. “Cezar… I know.”
She looks over at him. “I know this time it wasn’t you.”
Her eyes narrow. “But the first time it was.”
Cezar sighs. “Jahi- I couldn’t help how I felt. I knew it was wrong, but-“
Jahi turned on him “But what?? Falling for our Masters pet human??”
Her eyes well up with angry tears “I LOVED YOU. And you stopped loving me because you had feelings for a”
She flares with anger and energy “FOR A HUMAN??”
Cezar looks sad, and deeply unhappy “Cynthia was-I- I can’t explain it.”
He crosses his arms. “But she never returned the feelings, and she died a long time ago Jahi. Please. Let it go.”
Beckett clears his throat “Hm, um hey, sorry to interrupt, but maybe we should tell The Master the situation.”
he turns to cyborg #2 “Hey can you-“
A giant crackling head of fire appears above them.
The master is smiling “You’ve all done very very well.”
The master grins, “It does seem that there is a bit more protection surrounding her than I had thought”
Cezar raises an eyebrow “Her? I thought-“
The master laughs loudly “Do not think Cezar, it doesn’t fit you.”
“I wanted the “Snow Queen”. And I will have her back very soon.”
The head gapes widely, the mouth opening up into a howling portal
Cezar steps back “Holy-“
Dozens of Cyborg demons lumber out of the opening. around them stream smaller, but equally terrifying demons.
They pour out towards the melee.
Cezar, jahi, and Scrambles stand there slack jawed as the Master emerges. He is clad in armor, and his gauntleted hands are massive and spiked.
He smiles widely. “It is time to finally take back what is mine.”
Cezar sweats and looks confused “But but, the boy? And the mirror shards??”
The master waves his hand “Bait! I knew my queen could not resist the final piece to her puzzle.”
He smiles ruefully “ Now if she has completed that puzzle, it might make things more difficult, but still- I will manage.”
Jahi frowns “Your.. queen…?”
The master starts to stride off, but he looks back, a twinkle in his eyes. “That human I took so long ago. I made her so much more.”
He laughs happily “So much more that she was able to escape from me!”
He turns back towards the battle “But never again. Never again will she leave my side.”
Jahi is shocked, and turns slowly to look at cezar. Cezars eyes are wide, tears welling up in them.
“Cynthia. She’s still-“
his fists clench, and tremble at his side.
Beckett cocks his head to one side. “Um. So. are we done here or?”
The master waves over his shoulder as he walks away. “Yes, good job, A+ all around.”
Three little gold stars appear on the three demons. sparkling prettily. Beckett looks incredibly pleased “Woah! And a gold star too!”
He turns to look at Jahi and Cezar, beaming with happiness, two hands raised up“We did it! High fi-“ Cezar is shaking with emotion, and Jahi is steaming with anger and complicated emotions of her own.
“Umm-“
Jahi flares with energy, her wings erupting from her back “It was her all along!! IT’S ALWAYS HER!!”
She rockets into the air, cezar’s eyes going wide, and then he takes off after her “NO! Jahi!!”
Scrambles stands there, looking confused and small, hands still upraised “Um. So, no high fives then?”
The queen is trying to drag Gerda back into the Portal “We have to get out of here! This is madness!”
The giant head of the snow queen still floats above the battlefield, beams of energy lancing from her eyes as her Defenders stomp and destroy the Wizard Police.
Gerda looks with shocked eyes “I’m so close…”
And then the demons enter the field.
They slam into the defenders, some of them ripping into them with claws, others shooting out lances of energy from eyes and hands.
The Defenders start to fall back.
Beads of sweat dot Becketts forehead as he levels his sword. “My god. Where did all of those demons come from?”
Suddenly Jahi and Cezar blast by overhead, diving into the holes left by the defenders.
Gerda breaks from from the queens grasp.
“They’re going after Kay!! I need to save him!”
She runs off into the field
Nina’s eyes are wide “I… I can’t-“
Then her eyes dilate completely.
Above the battlefield the Master floats serenely. With a wave he blows apart one of the defenders.
He disappears into one of the holes in the ground.
Nina is shaking “The Master.”
Nicky is also looking after the master, her eyes wide. “That’s the demon that took my sister-“
The two of them look at each other.
They stride into the onslaught.
The crow looks at Beckett, an eyebrow raised “You’re not seriously thinking of going in there are you?””
Beckett nods “I’ll admit, this is more than I usually go for- but-“
He grins widely. “What the hell, I’ve come this far.”
He grins at the crow “Want to come and help me fight?”
The crow raises an eyebrow. “That would be incredibly silly.”
The queen gestures to the portal. “so you’re coming back with me?”
The crow starts to speak. Then closes his beak. “Ehhh”
He laughs, a little embarrassed .”You know, my life was always so boring before this.”
the crow continues. “I’m just a crow! I’ve never-“
He shrugs. “I’ve never really gotten to *see* anything.”
Becket smiles at the crow. “Well how about you just come along and watch me kick ass then?”
The crow frowns, and then jumps onto the shoulder of Beckett, and Beckett also goes and enters into the battle.
The queen crosses her arms, and smiles bemusedly, standing in front of the open portal back to safety.
Kay is frantically typing things on multiple screens. “They’ve blown through our outer defenses, and the reinforcements in the tunnels aren’t stopping them!”
The Snow queen smiles, and pats him on the head .”That’s okay.” She glows with energy.
Her brow is furrowed, but she still glows with light.
“Reality is mine to shape now.”
She smiles down at Kay “Stay here. I’ll take care of this.”
She flickers out of existence.
Kay wrings his hands, and then turns to look at the screens.
A large group of demons is in one of them. The snow queen appears in front of them.
A group of demons smashes their way down the hall. Peering into rooms, and ripping open doors.
The snow queen flickers into existence in front of them.
They turn to her, one of the lead demons smiling “There! Get her for-“
She waves her hands and the demons turn to flower petals.
She smiles. Then flickers out of existence again.
Jahi tears down the tunnels, blasting through doors and breaking stuff as she goes. “CYNTHIA!! COME OUT!!”
Cezar catches up with her as she rages, panting and still visibly upset. “Jahi, stop this! The master-“
Jahi rounds on him “NO. This has haunted me for DECADES. And now to learn she is still Alive?? And returning to be at the masters SIDE??”
She slashes out, destroying more columns. “COME OUT!!” Something stirs behind her.
Jahi peers into the darkness “Wha” Kay is there. He is visibly freaked out by the demons, but looks determined. “Stay back-“
Jahi snarls, raising her hand-
Jaculus slams into her, smashing her through a wall. Jahi blasts energy up at the monster, but it deflects off his scales. Jaculus roars.
Cezar Blasts towards jaculus, but gets smashed aside by the massive tail.
Jaculus grabs both of the demons into his hands and then smashes them into the ground, roaring down at them. Kay’s eyes are wide.
Multiple beams come tearing down the hallway smashing into Jaculus, driving him back.
Demons start to spill into the room, grinning and salivating.
One of them stands over Cezar and Jahi as they lay groaning “Ha! It’s the underclassmen!” Another large demon leans on the first “Tch, it’s incredible that the master found a use for them eh?”
The first grins in amusement “I know! He really is amazing.” They both laugh uproariously.
A slice appears across their necks, and the heads go tumbling.
Nicky, Nina, and Beckett smash their way into the room, slicing, cutting, and blasting. The demons turn on them, but Jaculus rises back up and crashes into the remaining demons, crunching down on a few at once.
Jaculus turns to face the others, demon gore staining his face, but Kay stops him. Kay stares at the new group.
“Who are you?” he grows angry “Why? Why are you invading my Teachers home??”
Beckett’s eyes go wide “Holy hell. You’re actually okay?” Nicky steps forward, a smile on her face “Gerda has been looking for you! We have to find her!”
Kay takes a step back, confusion on his face “I-what? What are you talking about?”
The crow raises an eyebrow “Maybe we’ve got the wrong guy?”
“Oh no. This is definitely the one you’ve come looking for.” The master looms up behind them.
Jaculus screams and rushes at him, and is batted aside. The master opens his hand wides and with a blast of energy slices Jaculus in two. Beckett lunges his sword opening wide, and the masters eyes flash slicing into beckett, who goes flying. Nina screams slicing at him with her blades. But they simply deflect off his armor. Nina’s eyes go wide, and she is swatted aside. Nicky stands there panting, energy crackling around her hands “My sister- you took her from me.” The master’s eyebrows go up, and he grins widely. “Why, that’s exactly who I’m going to see right now.” Nicky’s eyes are wide “What??”
The masters mouth is a wide toothy grin. “Come with me, and we can have a reunion together.”
Gerda is running down the hallways by herself. She has let herself be totally immersed into demon mode, and steam courses off her body. She comes to a stop, turning, glaring. “Where? WHERE??”
A demon comes out of a room ahead of her and turns, grinning widely “Ha- hello little-“ Gerda rips through it in a spray of gore. She is snarling “WHERE ARE YOU KAY???”
The snow queen materializes behind Gerda. “Hello Gerda.” Gerda twitches around, and immediately attacks. The snow queen raises and eyebrow, and holds out her hand. A shall of crystal energy forms around Gerda, locking her in place. “I’m sorry to have put you through this.” The snow queen sighs “I do not seek to cause harm to others, I want only protection, and a final refuge from the one that hunts me.” Gerda snarls, scratching at the prison.
The snow queen crosses her arms “Kay is lost to you now. I cannot return his mind to him, and he can love, and serve, only me.” Gerda pounds on the prison “LIAR!! LET ME SEE HIM!!”
The snow queen cocks her head to one side “Is that such a good idea? You seem dangerous, both to him, and yourself.” She shakes her head. “I think it would be best to keep you out of this. You will be safe in there until this is all over.” She smiles brightly “We can talk again once you are calmer.” The snow Queen frowns. “But right now I have to deal with the root of this problem.” The snow queen winks out of existence.
Gerda’s eyes are wide, tears on her cheeks. “No. NO. NO!!” She begins to scratch more frantically at the crystal. Slamming her fist into it again, and again.
She smashes her bleeding knuckles against the crystal wall again, and then slowly slumps to the ground. Looking at her trembling demon hand, and her trembling human hand. “I’m still too weak.”
Her eyes flare with light “I’m too weak to save kay.” She grabs her human wrist with her demonic wrist. “NO.” Her eyes turn hard, and blaze with energy. “Only a part of me is too weak.” She bites her lip hard, blood trickling down her chin. “I can- I can remove that part.”
Her arm crackles with energy, lancing into and out of her body, swirls of it spiraling inside of the crystal shell. Her teeth bared, her skin splits, and her body changes. The demonic arm begins to grow into and out of other parts of her. Her form growing more massive. A hand swings back, hard, terrible, and smashes against the crystal shell. A crack appears. It swings back and smashes down even harder, and the shell of the prison shatters to pieces. Gerda stands there, wreathed in energy, her body (need to design it still!) terrible and beautiful. She pants with exertion, a smile on her face. “Kay. I will find you.”
The Master stands looking up at the infinity brain, as it twirls and spirals above him. A look of relaxed pleasure on his face. He is flanked on either side by sinister looking cyborg demons. light crackles, and the snow queen materializes, across the room, under the floating infinity brain. The master smiles widely. “You did it. Your life’s work is completed. The snow queen smiles tightly. “Yes. All the power I could ever want is mine now.” Her smile grows tenser “And the only thing I want to use it for is to keep you from me.”
The cyborg demons shoot out towards the snow queen, eyes and hands blazing. she jerks out her hands and both of them dissolve, one into strands of ivy, the other into sand and foam. The masters eyes go wide “Now *that* is impressive.” He quirks a smile “I’ll admit, you have far exceeded what I thought was possible.” The snow queen raises on of her hands “Goodbye “husband”.” The master raises one finger, sweat beading on his brow. “Hold on… before I go, I have a present for you.” The snow queen glowers “I want nothi-“ The Master flips something at her from behind his back. The snow queen snaps her hand up to stop it, and then her eyes go wide. Nicky hurls through the air towards, her, unconscious. “Ni- Nicky??” Nicky slams into the snow queen driving her back. The master is suddenly upon her, his hands weaving in an intricate weave. “ALL SEAL!” He slams his hands down onto the snow queen, patterns forming all over her body. The snow queens eyes fly open, and she raises her hands up at the Master, but nothing happens. “No…!” The master smiles widely. “Don’t forget who taught you the beginnings of the infinity design.” He grabs her arm and pulls her up. “I never could finish it. But I can stop it.”
“Get away from her!!”
The teeth from becketts sword appear around the masters arm, and chomp down hard, splintering the metal of his gauntlets. The master roars and yanks his arm away.
Kay is standing there, panting, shaking becketts sword clasped in his hands. Blood soaks down the masters arm, but he is still smiling. “ha. well done. So, you wish to fight.” His eyes narrow. “But first, Not that it matters, but you still have something that belongs to me.” Kay frowns “Wha-“ The master grins “My mirror shards.” He makes a pulling motion with his fingers, and the two pieces of mirror tear themselves out of Kays chest and heart. Kay staggers, choking, as blood spurts out of his eye and chest. He collapses to his knees, the sword falling from his hands. The master smiles, holding the bloody shards “You should be thanking me. These little things are terrible for your health.” he steps forwards, looming over Kay a hand upraised, glowing with power. “Where’s your spirit? Still want to fight?”
“NOOOO” A blur smashes into the master driving him off his feet. The master’s face is shocked “Wha-?” Gerda is wreathed in energy, her body monstrous, her face twisted by rage. “GET AWAY FROM HIM!!” She smashes into him again, the masters armor cracking as he goes flying across the room. Gerda does not give up for a second, hammering blows into him, smashing, him, completely feral. The master goes to raise a hand, energy glowing around it, but gerda slices to the side, removing the hand completely. The masters eyes go wide “This can’t-“ Gerda raises both hands and hammers down into the master again and again “HE.” She hammers down into him “IS” she cracks open the armor of his chest, the master struggling to fight her off “MIIINE”
Gerda slams her hands down into his chest, and with a tearing cracking sound, pulls out his heart. The master groans “N…no… I” His eyes are wide “I just want my wife… back…”
Gerda snarls. And bites into the heart, tearing away a huge bloody chunk. The master’s eyes go wide, and he shudders all over, and he is limp.
Gerda tosses the heart to one side, and looks over. Her face lights up, tears streaming down her face. “KAY!!”
Kays eyes are wide, he is absolutely terrified. He backs away “No… “
She gets to her feet, blood soaking her front “Kay! I’ve found you! I’ve saved you!”
Kay shakes his head “What- what are you talking about? I don’t want to be saved!” Gerda’s eyes go wide Kay backs away even further “Especially not by a demon!!”
Gerda sways. Her body huge and powerful, energy still crackling about it. She looks down at herself. “A… demon?”
Her face crinkles up “I… but…”
Kay falls to the side of the snow queen, shaking her “Teacher! Please, are you okay??” The snow queen unsteadily puts an arm around Kay. “I- I can’t connect to the infinity engine any longer.” She looks over at the masters fallen body, and smiles a bit sadly, a bit angrily. “But, I guess it doesn’t matter.”
Kay smiles widely at her and then throws his arms around her “Oh teacher I was so worried!!”
Nicky slowly and unsteadily rises to a sitting position, her eyes wide as she looks at the snow queen. The snow queen stares back at nicky “Sister.”
Nickies eyes fill with tears “Cynthia! You can finally come home!” She hugs the snow queen close to her chest. The snow queen gently but slowly unfurls Nickies arms from her “I’m no longer that person Nicky.” Nicky looks confused “Wha-“ The snow queen smiles sadly “My memories from before I was taken are very hazy.” She puts a hand gently against Nicky’s cheek “I remember you as I would remember a dream.” Nicky’s face falls “I- oh.” The snow queen smiles sadly “I am sorry.. this is my home now.” She smiles a bit more widely “But maybe we can get to know each other once again?” Nicky smiles sadly, but hopefully “I- I would like that.”
Gerda is lying on the ground looking up at them. “I don’t-“ Jahi and Cezar appear in the doorway.
Jahi and Cezars eyes go wide “Master!” They hurry to his side Jahi staggers back “Someone has eaten his heart?? how?”
Cezar is looking strangely at the snow queen, who is looking back at him. The snow queen rises. “Cezar.” Cezar smiles a little sadly. “Cynthia.” Jahi’s head snaps up, and then frowns “But- that isn’t cynthia. Cynthia was human!” The snow queen smiles, also sadly. “I haven’t been human in a very very long time jahi.” Jahi looks at the snow queen, then looks over at gerda.
She bursts out laughing “Both of you are no longer humans! That is!” She wipes her eyes and laughs a little more “That is so funny!!” Cezar glares at her a little bit, and then sighs “I’m glad you’re alive cynthia” Cynthia smiles “And you too my friend.” Cezar places a hand on Jahi’s shoulder. “Come on Jahi, let’s tell the others the master is dead” Jahi is still chuckling, but looks up at him “Should we try and avenge him?” Cezar quirks a smile “We already got our passing grade. Do you really want extra credit too?” Jahi laughs “Yeah, I guess I’m done being an overachiever.”
Gerda is dazed. She is looking at the ground now. “I… did it.” Becket limps over next to her, bandaged up, nina limping along, and the crow riding on his shoulder. “Gerda” He looks pained “What-“ He shakes his head “Gerda, we should get going. The queen can’t hold the portal open forever.” He looks over at Kay and the snow queen. “Is- is he coming with us?”
Gerda gets to her feet. Kay shifts back uneasily, behind the snow queen. Gerda looks at him blankly. “No.”
They walk away form the snow queen, and from kay, the infinity engine spiraling above them, and wreckage all around them.
Kay takes a step forwards “W-wait.”
Gerda pauses, and looks back. Kay’s eye is teary, the other one is closed, blood coming down his face. “Thank you. Thank you so much.”
Gerda stares, and then gives a small smile. “You’re welcome kay.”
And she turns, and walks out the archway.
