Trend of 3 cushions in Vietnam

Vietnam recently held the 36th World Team 3 Cushion Championship in Bierson, Germany, where Tranquietchiyan (world No. 2) and Baofuongbin (No. 8) participated in the national team and defeated Spain to lift the trophy.  토토사이트

Team Championship, the most prestigious competition among the three cushions, began in 1981. Vietnam became the ninth country to win the title (Sweden, Turkiye, Belgium, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Denmark and Korea).

Ban and Tranquiyechyan competed in good faith at the final of the 75th World Cushion Championship held in Ankara, Turkiye, in September last year. At that time, Bahu beat Tranquiyechyan, her senior, to win her first career championship. For the past six months, Vietnamese billiards swept the world championships, the most prestigious for both individuals and teams.

If the World Cup is extended, Vietnam has won four major titles in a year. Tranquiyechyan won the title at the Porto 3 Cushion World Cup in July last year. Tranquiyechyan also won his third career championship at the Bogota tournament in January, his first World Cup this year. Tranquiyechyan, the "present" and "future" of Vietnam's 3 Cushions, seem to dominate world billiards.

Besides the two, Vietnam has young players who stand out on the international stage, including Thai Hong Qiem (18th) and Trantan Ruk (23rd). There are also many competitive Vietnamese players like Nguyen Quoc Nguyen (Hana Card) and Nguyen Nguyen (SK Rent-A-Car) in the professional basketball PBA.

Vietnam has recently grown into an attractive market for Asian billiards. In addition to increasing investment in its own youth system, it is increasing billiard infrastructure across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Some say that the characteristics of the sport that require delicacy suit the Vietnamese people.

On the other hand, Korea, one of Asia's leading billiard players, has failed to display as much power as before on the world stage after a considerable number of leading players left for PBA. Last year, Korea ended up with no win at the three-cushion World Cup for the first time in five years. If Korea fails to break free from the current stagnation, it has to hand over the Asian three-cushion leadership to Vietnam.

Vietnam, which has grown stormy, is evolving into a three-cushion trend in Asia, overtaking Korea.
