In order to evenly spread the web material and get rid of creases and wrinkles, bowed rollers—also referred to as banana rollers—are used in the paper, film, foil, and textile industries. These rollers stop material from intertwining during slitting processes. The majority of the time, these rollers are employed in manufacturing processes that generate a continuous web or substrate that must be directed without wrinkles.
