Eddie seemed to be ignoring what she was saying, but she wasn't bothered by it. They both had a lot to take in, between the crash, her injury, and just leaving Hawkins in general. She had only been back a few weeks, after all, and having spent two years trying everything to get back to the town, she was already missing the cabin. Her van just wasn't the same as the lakehouse they had made so many memories together in, despite them having just as many memories in the back where Eddie currently was.
Still, as another crack of thunder sounded out, the blonde finally tore her eyes back to the sky before crossing her arms. Sure, she didn't exactly need an invitation to join her fiance in the back, but she still wanted to give him space if he wanted it. She knew how he was when it came to his personal space, and while she had always been the exception to that rule, even before they had gone on their first date, she didn't know if the rain or crash would have him on edge more than usual. She barely even noticed when he stopped moving, if she was honest, and it wasn't until his voice finally sounded out across the silence that she even knew he was that close to her again. Blue eyes turned over her shoulder to look at him, and barely able to keep her amusement out of her voice, she decided to play into it for a moment.
"I don't know, you did crash my van. That seems like a good reason to sleep on the couch." Only three seconds passed before she was moving, a hand flipping off the light in the front before reaching out to rest on his shoulder to stabilize herself to she didn't fall as she crawled over the back of the seats and into the back of the van with him. "Then again, why should I be punished to sleep alone when I didn't do anything wrong??"
Moving to where the suitcases had ended up, Demona was already making a mental note to clean up the mess that had occurred in the back when they got up the next day. It didn't take her long, though, to fish out the black blanket she had brought from the cabin. She had no intention of curling up with it, though. Instead, she started to block off the front seat, hoping it would be enough to keep the light out when the sun came out. She fully intended on curling up next to Eddie once it was hung, though, no matter how he responded to her comment.
