Vitamin B1 theory from 1958 is finally proven by scientists after being called "crazy"
By Eric Ralls

A 1958 theory on the action of
Thiamine proposed that it may
form carbenes, highly reactive carbon chain compounds.
This was dismissed, because
"everybody knew" carbenes could not
exist in water ...
Now, with a properly designed molecular protection, we find that
they can exist in water.
This opens up new avenues
for water-based organic chemistry.
And potentially new understanding
of the activity of Thiamine, and other
Vitamins.
