Forwards Bianca Cuevas and Kathleen Tan ran the show during the game, as both scored hat tricks in the second and third periods.

After forward Ilena Jimenez scored the national team's first goal of the game 15:11 in the first period, Tan and Cuevas took over.

At 7:36 of the second period, Cuevas would put the Philippine side 2-0 while shorthanded, followed by Tan two minutes later on the power play. The former would later get her second of the game less than three minutes after Tan, also shorthanded.

Two and a half minutes into the third period, Tan would score her second of the game, followed by Cuevas' hat trick goal seven minutes later. Both goals were scored on the power play.

Tan's hat trick would be on the empty net while on a 6-on-3 penalty kill, as India pulled goaltender Dorjay Dolma for an extra attacker.

Philippine netminder Rosalyn Lim would tally her first shutout of the tournament, stopping all 20 of India's shots.

The national team will next face the United Arab Emirates, who has Filipina Laura Jane Cortez serving as an assistant coach, on Good Friday.
