1. Introduction

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of VIDEO COMPRESSOR (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you confirm that you have read and accepted both these Terms and the accompanying Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must stop using the App immediately.

 

2. Key Concepts

App – Refers to the mobile application named VIDEO COMPRESSOR, including all updates or additional components.

User – Any individual who installs, interacts with, or operates the App.

Services – All tools, functionalities, and features made available within the App.

Data – Any information that you voluntarily provide through communication or support-related contact.

 

3. Age and Usage Requirements

The App may be used only by individuals who are at least four (4) years old. If local regulations require parental approval for minors, it is your responsibility to ensure such consent is obtained before allowing use of the App.

 

4. Permissions Required

To function properly, the App may request:

Photo & Media (Gallery) Access

This permission is needed solely to allow the App to read and display the list of videos stored locally on your device for the purpose of compression.

  • Your media files stay on your device at all times.

  • Nothing is uploaded, transmitted, or shared automatically.

  • No other permissions are requested or required.

No Additional Access

The App does not request:

  • network access,

  • local network scanning,

  • device identifiers,

  • Bluetooth,

  • camera or microphone,

  • or any other system permissions.

Its operation is limited strictly to accessing videos stored locally on your device.

 

5. License to Use the App

5.1 Granted License

You are granted a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to install and use the App on your own devices for private, non-commercial purposes.

5.2 License Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, inspect, or attempt to derive the App’s source code,

  • modify, translate, recreate, or extend the App without written approval,

  • remove or alter trademarks, copyrights, or proprietary notices,

  • use the App for unlawful purposes, or in ways that violate any rights of others.

6. Data Practices

The App does not collect or store analytics, identifiers, diagnostic logs, crash reports, or usage statistics.

All data handling is performed strictly according to the Privacy Policy.

6.1 What Is Collected

Only information that you voluntarily send through support communication—such as emails or feedback messages—may be received. No other data is gathered automatically.

6.2 How Data Is Used

Any information you manually provide is used solely to respond to your inquiries or deliver support when requested.

6.3 Sharing of Data

We do not share, sell, or transmit your personal information to third parties.

Your videos, photos, and media content never leave your device unless you explicitly decide to share them.

6.4 Refund Verification

Since the App does not collect usage metrics or analytics, no internal data is provided for refund validation. All refund requests are handled exclusively through the App Store platform.

 

7. Payments, Subscriptions & Renewals

Some App features may require payment or subscription.

  • All transactions are processed securely through the App Store.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the renewal date.

  • You are responsible for managing or canceling subscriptions through your store account.

  • Refunds follow the App Store’s official policies.

 

8. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • break any applicable laws or infringe the rights of others,

  • introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code,

  • interfere with or disrupt the App in any way,

  • attempt unauthorized access to systems associated with the App,

  • use bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate App behavior.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property—including the design, interface elements, graphics, branding, and software code—belongs to the App’s owner or licensors. Your use rights are limited exclusively to the license described in Section 5 and grant no ownership interest.

 

10. Updates, Modifications & Service Availability

We may release updates, bug fixes, enhancements, or entirely new versions of the App at any time.

By continuing to use the App after such updates, you accept the revised Terms.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App or the entire App without prior notice.

 

11. Legal Disclaimers

11.1 No Warranty

The App is provided “as is”, without any warranty—express or implied—regarding performance, reliability, or suitability for a particular purpose.

11.2 Liability Limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

 

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • your violation of these Terms,

  • any breach of legal obligations,

  • misuse or unauthorized use of the App.

 

13. Export Law Compliance

You agree not to export, distribute, or use the App in any manner that is prohibited by applicable export laws or international trade regulations.

 

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark.

All disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts located in Copenhagen.

 

15. Severability & Waiver

If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be fully effective.

Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.

 

16. Complete Agreement & Modifications

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the full agreement between you and us regarding your use of the App.

We may update or revise these Terms periodically, and continued use of the App signifies your acceptance of any changes.
