Early Life and Education
Rona Elektra was born Rona Elektra Schneider in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 5 November 2000 to Einhard Schneider and Lakshita Padmarini; she was the last of two children. Her father died when she was 12 years old. Her older brother, Kerlap Semesta Schneider (better known as Kerlap Semesta), who looks like her, is also an entertainer. She moved to Jakarta in 2012.
Career
2019 : Beginning of her career
In the beginning of 2019, Rona was selected through street casting by modelling agency 'MELODIES' for Cosa-Sola commercial film. Since then, she was known as 'the crying ballerina' as told in the advertisement and gained few more of product advertisement.
2020 - present : Rising popularity and on-screen acting debut
By early 2020, Rona was selected as commercial film models for two products, Plonds and Neskafe, gaining her a chance to work with few remarkable people in industry. She then acted on a Music Video for singer 'Fandy' debut release 'Lelaki Baik', which a huge hit and gained her more popularity. She posed for many products advertisement since then.
In 2021, she was selected as Nestie La Frutia new commercial film model and gained more opportunity as social media influencer with many endorsements. She then joined her brother, Semesta, as one of STERNSYSTEM talent once her contract with MELODIES, her past agency ended. Her first project after joining STERNSYSTEM was as Music Video model for indie soloist, Lawrencius debut single, 'Mengapa?' showing a great chemistry between two of them. Her first ever acting project was for a short thriller-mystery movie project titled 'The Box' where she acted as herself. In September 2021, she began her career as announcer in Radio Milik Kita (known as Radomil).
In late September 2021, she was announced as Peek-A-Boo cast, a movie produced by MOVIECAPELLA Production House as Stella Giarmata, replacing previous actress, Daniella Aya Lunara.
In January 2022, she took part in MOVIECAPELLA x Hakuna Kikomo project, Girilarang where she acted as Augur. She then had her first serial debut with Clueless PH project, Di Penghujung Hari, where she acted as Denting.
In July 2022, she took part in Daphne Thermopolis latest single, 'brutal'.
