Mothers, wives and sisters, I call upon you to save the planet. To you who give life and sustain it. To you who know that the world has become a dangerous place to live. To you who are concerned for the future of your children. To you who once wisely ruled this planet. To you, mothers, wives and sisters who have forgotten the covenant that was given to me: “That as long as possible you will sustain life on the planet, in whatever form it may be, from plants, animals to your own procreative life.”
I ask you to save my garden in which you live. I ask you for the plants that disappear, the animals brutally killed, the children who die of hunger. I ask you for the salvation of all the humiliated, the powerless and the poor. I ask you, lift them up with your hand, heal them with a kiss, feed them with love.
You are so strong that it is truly a miracle that you are not aware of your strength. There is a power in you, a power of life, much stronger than the birth of one, or two children. Through you and with your help, I - Mother Gaia, also act, whose daughters you are. Through you and with your help, I restore and improve life on the planet.
That is why I ask you, I, your mother, to save the planet and life on it.
I ask you to see my expression of love for you, in every grass that grows in the field.
I ask you to see in every bird that soars through the sky, my greeting to the freedom that is in you.
I ask you to see the Universe in miniaturi, in each member of your species.
How wonderful life is, my daughter. How life is a wonderful plan devised by the Universe. How life is a great gift given to humanity.
That is why I ask you, your mother, to preserve it, maintain it, improve it and pass on this covenant to the next generations of your daughters. Just as you now know of the covenant you have made with me, they too, when their time comes, will prevail.
You are my daughters, whom I love endlessly and forever, because the life that flows through you.
Mother Gaia
